I am deciding between Animal Kingdom (Jambo House), Beach Club, Boardwalk, and the Wilderness Lodge/Boulder.

I've stayed at all but the Beach Club. But I can't make a decision on which is best. We LOVED the Wilderness Lodge, but want to try something different. I will go back, of course, if the others seem eh. Also, we love the AK, but I can't get the room I want with a Savannah View. So I have to decide, I suppose, if I'm fine with a standard view.

With BC, BW - I really can't stand that layout. The bathtub with the folding doors into the bedroom? Dated decor....
*We've stayed at BLT and really weren't impressed with the decor, found it to be the least magical/Disney-esque property- though walking into the Contemporary is cool. The pool at BLT is eh.

Can you please help sway me in a direction?
It's me and my friend, traveling with our 6 year olds (2 kids total). We will be going to MNSSHP- location isn't as much of a concern, as we usually uber everywhere. We love a wow factor on property, as we usually do a pool day and just hang out.

Thank you all so much! xo

Since you are referring to the folding doors from the bathtub into the bedroom, I'm assuming you are referring to the 1-bedroom units at BCV and BWV?

BWV is our absolute favorite. We love the atmosphere of the Boardwalk and the entertainment and games at night. We also love the ability to walk to both EP and DHS. My DS9 also loves the clown slide. Quite honestly, though, IMHO, neither BCV or BWV will offer you the "wow factor" that the lobbies of WL and AKL provide. Though absolutely beautiful, IMHO, they are more subtle than WL and AKL. I personally love the decor and the music at BWI/BWV - very, turn-of-the-century Atlantic City. But if you are looking for a stunningly themed lobby, you won't find it there.

We've stayed standard view at AKV and loved it, but if your heart isn't in it, you may want to consider going back to WL.

If it were me, I would stay away from WL unless the construction won't bother you. WL has a great lobby, good food options, and is only a boat ride away from MK.

BC is good if you want to use the best pool on property and plan a lot of time at EP.

AK is awesome for the theming (animals of course) and you cant beat the best resort dining options in all of the WDW resorts with Jiko, Boma, and Sanaa. You will spend more time in transit to and from the parks though.

Totally agree with above post. AKL has an amazing lobby! It's a quite and lovely resort. We really liked our pool view room and felt there was plenty of public places to see the animals.
For us the EPCOT resorts offer us the best location as we love EPCOT and DS, walking to them both is a huge plus! BC has an amazing pool that the kids will love!

If you haven't stayed at the BC, then I would stay there. You also say that you like to spend a day at the pool. Well, Storm Along Bay is a great option for a pool day. You could book a Beaches n Cream table for a cute lunch venue as well.

You could keep looking for a savanna view at AKL and switch if it comes available. But the BC has a great location, nice beachy theme and good pool. Walking or boat transportation to two theme parks is really nice, too.

Enjoy!

I've stayed at WL, BCV and AKV (kidani). I love the location of WL and being able to take the boat over to MK and I feel like it is a smaller, more cosy resort than the others. But it is under construction this year so might be best avoided for that reason.

I loved AKV and we got a savannah view, but even if you don't there are still plenty of places around the hotel to view the animals, and the buffet breakfast at Boma was the best we had, also loved Jiko and Sanaa (but we like ethnic flavours). Only problem is bussing everywhere although we found the bus service pretty quick.

BCV I thought we would like more than we did. It was so big and felt like we had to walk miles to the room, the restaurant options didn't appeal to us as much either. The pool is awesome but we were there in January and it was unusually cold so we only used it once. We also had the longest wait for buses anywhere - over an hour for one and were late for our dinner reservation. We never even waited that long for theme park rides and we were there over NY! It is nice walking to EP and Boat to HS (but right now neither of those parks are our favourites). If you've got kids who will enjoy the pool and plan on spending lots of time at EP or HS then it's a good choice though. It was nice being able to walk into World Showcase for dinner and catch the night shows.

Thank you for all the comments and opinions.

I think what everyone has said, is what I've been thinking as well.

And actually, we stayed at WL and say NO construction. None. The hotel was amazing and we had such a wonderful experience.

I think we will go with the Animal Kingdom, Jambo House- if we don't get the savannah view, no big deal.
Thank you all!
