Please help me choose a hotel

Either "lake view" or "ice rink view". Lake view rooms cost extra, but if you are visiting at a quiet time, you might get a free upgrade. I don't know if the ice rink view is the same as the lake view, but there may be some rooms that can only see the ice rink and not the lake - and so don't cost more!!! That would be my request - for me, the ice rink really adds to the HNY atmosphere

Any idea what the supplement might be for a "lake view"? I'll ask when I get there about 10am if there's any chance of a room with a view of the lake - see what happens....

According to the brochure it's £34 per room per night.

if its down to a choice between the disney hotel or sequoia lodge, then i would go for sequoia if it means you get an extra night in. and particularly if uve already been to disney hotel. personally i would choose DH but thats only cos ive never had the chance to stay there (hoping that with the help of airmiles we may be able to stay this christmas -exciting stuff!)
as for the 'basic hotels' i dont think i would ever choose santa fe, for me the whole disney trip also involves the hotel and im just not a fan of the santa fel. but ive stayed at the cheyenne plenty of times and altho its basic, its the best one for theme and for the fun. you really feel like your there - i love it! i always recommend it to any of my friends who have children

OK after some very hard weeks we made our decision and we choose

Hotel New York!

We will take the 4=3 offer and so we can stay 4 nights in the Hotel New York. The only drawback is: We will be there in June and you can't open the windows to let in some spring air like we could do in any other Disney hotel.
But I think if we wanted to enjoy the countryside we could have taken Sequioa Lodge. But this time we want to got to Big Apple so we choose this hotel!

Yeah I agree the Santa fe is basic but I'm paying for the enjoyment of the parks not what the hotel has....If I want to swim I will go along the road where i live and go for one I don't go all the way to Paris to swim!!! I go for the magic
