I just can't decide. This isn't actually a WDW trip, that is in November. This is a quick trip to Boston in August. Which departure would you choose and why?

#1 Ticket price $430
NWA
Departing Boston at 6:10 pm
Arriving in MSP at 8:32 pm
Departing MSP at 9:07 pm (this 40 minutes makes me nervous, doesn't seem like enough time)
Arriving Home at 10:01 pm

#2 Ticket price $450
United
Departing Boston at 5:04 pm
Arriving in Chicago at 6:50 pm
Departing Chicago at 7:55pm (this also makes me nervous. Never laid over at Chicago and I have heard it's huge!)
Arriving Home at 9:33 pm

I also have never flown United so all I know is NWA. Please help me choose.

Yes and feel free to laugh at the out of this world prices. Isn't it sad? This is what I get for living in the boonies!

There isn't anyway you can get a better fare to BEANTOWN?? :confused3

Those fares seem so pricey to me!!! :sad2:

If I had to choose from these two flights I'd choose #2. Northwest doesn't have he best ontime record, and 40 minutes is not very much time. Chicago IS huge, but you have nearly an hour to get from one gate to the next. JMHO

Looks like this trip is not to Orlando. Check Kayak.com for pricing. Airtran has cheap fares from Boston to MSP for August, may want to check them out.

If it is business or something like that, I would probably go with the one that takes off a little earlier. If it is a visit, I would go with the later one. I am not a fan of stopover flights so both are a bad choice to me. :)

For both flights, the connection time is fine. You'll have no problems if the flights are on time.

Your major concern will be on time departure from Logan for a flight leaving in the evening in August, due to good chance of weather delays (summer thunderstorms).

I'd go with United. You'll get home earlier and they are a better airline.

Now I'd go with NWA thru MSP.

I have had too many bad experiences our of O'Hare (delay's , etc.)

But that's just me.

No, nothing cheaper. We fly out of Sioux Falls, SD. The boondocks. Flying out around cornfields. So, our airline choices are pretty slim pickins. :rotfl: I think I'll go with United. I've had terrible experience with NWA. I've flown them three times now and all flights had some sort of a delay. Might as well give United a chance and see how it goes. Thanks for all of your advice and experience! :thumbsup2
