We are going for a short trip to the World - 3 nights - prior to a 4 night DIsney cruise :goodvibes

It is me, DH, DS (10), DD(10), DS(2), my mother, her husband, and her husband's son (18).

Here is what I have so far:

Thursday - arrive around 2 - no ADRs planned (we like to hit MK on day of arrival and just have CS)

Friday - birthday celebration!! :cool1: early breakfast at CP before park opening; dinner at Tutto Italia (our first time dining here!)

Saturday - nothing planned yet. This is where I would like to add a dinner. We will likely go to AK in the morning, but don't anticipate staying there all day.

Sunday - day of departure - leaving for Port Canaveral!

I had wanted to try DDP, so we need another TS meal.

Thanks!

You could change from dinner to lunch and have it at Yak & Yeti whist at AK or you could have an early dinner at Boma or Jiko or Saana at AKL after being at AK.

You could try the Tusker House that is in Animal Kingdom. I believe they offer a buffet breakfast and dinner.

We're undecided as to where we want to go after AK. Probably we would head back to BLT to relax a while. Possibly go to MK at night.

Also, we are renting a car.

Thanks for the responses! :)

If you're going to be in the Magic Kingdom area around dinnertime, perhaps consider Kona Cafe. It's relatively easy to snag a reservation there, the food is delicious and the menu is varied enough to please everybody in your large group. The desserts and appetizers, especially, are among the best on property. Kona has been one of my favorite restaurants in Disney for years, and I have never had a bad meal there.

I would say lunch at Yak&Yeti at AK, or dinner at Boma or Ohanas!

Maybe you could eat at Yak & Yeti for lunch since you'll be at AK. The TS there is great!

I would go to BOMA since u r planning a trip to AK the next morning. GREAT FOOD and it will keep u in the animal state of mind.:upsidedow

If you are going back to your resort I would say California Grill or Narcoosees or Citricos at Grand Floridian. If you do the DP and want to stick to 1 credit, then Kona cafe at Poly.

Thanks everyone! I think we'll play it by ear. Maybe Tusker House for lunch, or Kona if we head back towards BLT.

I would love to try Boma for dinner, but not sure my mom or her husband will like it, and I don't think we will be staying long enough at AK to go straight to Boma for dinner :sad2:

if you're staying at BLT & hoping to head to MK Saturday night, why not go to The Wave right there in the Contemporary hotel? Cool restaurant, great steaks & desserts. Only one credit on the dining plan (and you can choose milkshakes as your beverage on the dining plan there.) Kona (at the Polynesian) is also good and it's fun to take the monorail over there...and check out the Polynesian. We also liked the Grand Floridian Cafe - great steaks & love the dessert sampler (two people share - mini versions of all the desserts there.) All of these are monorail resorts so very handy if you're staying at BLT and heading to MK after dinner.

Narcoosee's, Citrico's and California Grill are all two credits on the dining plan, by the way.
