I had already posted a similar question, but now need a little more help deciding. I have booked a trip for April 17 - April 27 for 2005. ( this trip is a surprise for my hubby. He has no idea I booked it. shhhh! We will be celebrating our 25th next year. I know he doesn't like crowds or high humidity so I'm looking for the best time to do this trip) I was hoping that the crowds would have died down by this time of year(late April). Some people said it it still busy at this time. Others have told me it's really not bad then. But reading some of the other posts it seem that this past mid to late April 20 something it was incredibly busy. Would that maybe have been a freak thing to be "that" busy at this time of year? Should I change my reservation for one week later to April 24 - May 4 to be on the safe side so to avoid spring break? Or to March? If I were to change it to March of next year what would be the best time to go? I believe Easter is March 27th . When do the Easter & spring break crowds really begin? I would be able to change to March anytime but not when it's at all crowded. Please help... :)

Spring Breaks are spread out thoughout March and April. The week before and the week after Easter will always be the most crowded. Many schools schedule their breaks then, but others, like our school district do not. We always have off the end of March, no matter when Easter is. This past spring we went to Disney and it was 2 weeks before Easter. It was moderately crowded, but not bad at all. Next year since Easter is earlier our break will coinside with Easter, so we will NOT be going to WDW! We are considering Arizona. Anyway, I would stick with the dates you have as you are not too close to Easter. Crowds should be moderate, but the weather should be great. If you went earlier in March it might be chilly, our family does not like that, Florida is supposed to be warm. There is really no time that Disney is dead anymore, and that is a good thing IMO. With fast pass you can do everything even if it is crowded. I would just relax if I were you, and enjoy planning your trip!!!!

but I have to ask...what does "busy" mean to you...???

We go in January, early Feb because we have two little guys who have a difficult time in crowded situations. We like to walk on rides, no lineups in the restrooms, and less humid weather (We're from Canada, so low 70's in Jan is fab!!;))

That being said, we find it can still be quite "busy" especially around 10am-3pm. So we get PAP's, go early in the morning, stay until it gets "busy", and head for the resort pool.

There are those that would say WDW is deserted at the same time that we would say it"s busy.:)

Keep your dates, you've got lots of time to plan Priority seatings, and what you want to do in each park...because no matter how slow or busy it is, you have to know that you WILL NOT be able to see it all!!:):)
...which is why we're goin' back;);)

HTH!!
:sunny:

Well, just to be on the safe side I changed the dates to April 24th - May 4th. This way I know I should be far enough away from spring break & Easter crowds. I was too leary about the beginning of March for the reason it still might be too cool to swim.
Thanks for your help. Now to get into all the planning......:Pinkbounc I can't wait!!!!!!!!!
