We have one of our MNSSHP parties scheduled for 9/19 and want to get into MK before the party crowd enters.

So I booked Boathouse at 11:00 am. for an early lunch. I figured about an hour-hour and half to eat and time in walking to bus stop to our resort (Polynesian) will be about 1:30. Leave room around 2:00 and get to MK by 2:30-3:00 for MNSSHP (yes I'm aware entrance isn't until 4:00 pm but we'll be using a park ticket to enter).

Am I calculating in too much time?? DH thinks if we make a noonish reservation at Boathouse we'll still get to MK in plenty of time before party crowds enter but that'll entail DD wearing her costume to Boathouse and not sure that'll be appropriate attire.

I would keep the 11:00. I would rather have too much time planned than to feel rushed. Plus, you are using a park ticket to enter MK, and there is never enough time at MK!

Also, as far as appropriate attire, we ate there for lunch in October and all wore shorts and t-shirts. No one batted an eye.

Have fun! Sounds like a great day!

The costume attire being appropriate or not depends on the costume. But, also figure in how comfortable/uncomfortable she might be in it as well as what if she drops something on it while eating.

My vote is to keep the 11:00 and make a stop back at resort for a change.

It appears that you have plenty of time. Just remember that the busses do not run as "exactly" as they say they do or as you hope they do. We usually figure 40 minutes from bus stop to resort room, and of course you have the monorail from your resort to MK.

Dress is very casual at the Boathouse, and the costume will be a hit for sure!

I say keep 11am. This way the costume won't get dirty or messy. We went to eat last year and went back to the hotel to get dressed in the costumes for the party.

I know I have plenty time, DH just thinks I have TOO much time -- he wants to do lunch more like noon, and I dont think that's possible if we want to be in MK by 3:00. Or is it possible and I'm just leaving too much time??

Costume is a jack skellington tutu skirt and tankish top. Def not something she would be uncomfortable in, but dropping food on it, that's another story. LOL. :)

I always lean towards allowing too much time than not enough time. Feeling rushed makes me stressed and who wants to have stress on vacation??
