I need the help of you wonderful and talented disigners. My son is having a generic pirate themed bday party on the 13th of this month. With everything going on I just realized that I don't have invites yet. If anyone could come up with one that would be great and I would sooo appreciate it. Someone made this for me

which I thought was great but he said it was too little kiddish (he is turning 11). Here is the design that is on his bday plates for the party if that helps.

Thank you so much in advance to any who respond

I know where you are coming from! I'll see what I can come up with.

It sounded like something fun to try...I love to make invitations. Here is one idea...I have a few more that I will post in a little bit as well.

For this one you can make it several ways. Print out the first image of hat and scull and trim out...don't worry if the edges are a little bit pixilated...you will trim them off.

To print these out...open up a word document and change the margins all to "0". Click ignore when you see the pop-up box that says image will be outside of printable area...I left enough white that it will print without any problems. Then insert both of the images onto one 8.5x11 sheet. Make sure that the images are sized to 8.5x5.5 inches by going to "format" then "picture" and then "size". Then print on cardstock. If you need help doing this or if you like and want any changes to the wording...send me a pm with your email and I can set it up/fix for you:

Then print this back and trim it. Then use double sided tape to attach the two images together. Trim any extra edges that are showing...pop in a 8.75x5.75 envelope that you can get a Wal-Mart and mail out.

Or if you want to use this image instead of having to use double sided tape and putting the images back to back...you can put this image directly behind the first hat and use a brad or red ribbon to attach the two hats on the bottom right corner. Then you can rotate the second hat down/around to see the invitation details.

If you like but don't want to go to the trouble of attaching the two images...just print the hat with wording.

jtanddolly, what a clever idea!!

Here's my attempt. Kind of a more "dangerous" looking version of the previous one.

Here is another option...these were so much fun!

Copy and print this on 8.5x11 off-white cardstock...if you have time to run and get some. Then trim around around the edges of the image to get the ragged edge look. Next roll it up and tie it with leather string (you can buy this at craft stores) or just brown or red thin ribbon and tie it in a knot (no pirate would tie a bow ;)) after adding the tag to the outside. You can write something on the backside of the tag if you want...like the name of the invited guest. You will have to hand deliver these if you roll them up...but they will be fun to unroll and read!

Another option would be to print the image a little bit smaller and use double sided tape to adhere to the front of a wine bottle. Then you could put something fun inside like sand and small pirate items like sword, miniature boat, etc. And attach the tag with ribbon or leather string around the neck of the bottle.

The simple way would just be to print, trim and insert into an envelope to mail. If you want to do this...let me know and I can resize the invite. Also, if you want to add an RSVP or your address...send me a pm. Although...Dom's may win out and that is great. I just couldn't resist making a few pirate invites. :)

Dom I love yours!!! You are very creative/artistic and have helped me learn how to use PS in the past. Great job. Is the last line supposed to be Neptune...I wasn't sure if that was a typo? What is the name of the font that you used? I would love to have it and use it for cruise art. TIA

WOW to both of you.:worship::thumbsup2 These are all FANTASTIC! I knew you guys wouldn't let me down but these are even better than I expected. The only problem I have now is trying to decide which one to use:confused3This is going to be a HARD decision. I guess I will have Dylan look and see which one he picks. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for doing these for me:flower3::flower3:

Thanks Dolly. Yes it is Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. Davy Jones could also be used but I hadn't thought about that 'til now.

The font is Pieces of Eight and is available at www.dafont.com.
