Please help - first day park- MK , Epcot, MGM?

They changed the days of Spectro Parade and of course they could change it again. It's now on Monday, Fri, and Sat. Monday we arrive at 9:30AM. We arrive so early and dont want to waste a whole day and want to do a park... now with Spectro on Mondays I'm wondering if we should just do MK that day? Whatever park we go to we'll arrive around noon or 1 by the time we travel on the shuttle (hopefully no magical express mishaps). Originally we were doing MGM but now I'm wondering if we should do MK for Spectro, or just forget Spectro and do Epcot on Monday? I'm so lost...

I know we won't want to go to AK in the afternoon when the animals are less active. And we want to do a park and not a water park on the first day of our trip.

I would do MK for Spectro. A magical way to start your vacation. And you can catch "Wishes" to. We always do MK first and last.

i also think you should do MK your first day. i don't know if you have children, but my oldest daughter said she would be disappointed to not see the castle her first day. i think it is a must for your first day!

Just home from our WDW vacation. I planned my trip around the boards and calendars. They listed that the Spectro Parade would only be on Sunday during our vacation, so we planned to be at MK that night. After arriving and getting the time sheets they ran it every night we were there. So I would go with a plan but realize that they may have the parade other nights and you really won't know until you get there. Enjoy!!

Oh okay awesome. I made a new plan, but if they have it all the time we'll just go with a backup plan anyhow That would be neat if it was every night!

Be warned that Mondays are historically the busiest day at the MK. You may be able to see Spectro but not much else because of all the crowds. If you have seen Spectro, I would say skip it so you can see more of the park. When the parades are going on, there are shorter lines to the rides. Jus a thought.

I have never seen Spectro.
I haven't been to WDW in 11 years.

I found the calendar on the WDW web page. There is a link on their main web page. It gives you the hours of each park for every day and parade times. As i noted earlier though on that calendar it said the spectro parade would only be on Sunday for the week that we were there. Upon entering MK and getting their time sheet it was running everynight except Friday. It worked out for us because we went Sunday and only watched the parade. So on our schedule day for MK we walked on all rides while the parade was going on. Hope this helps.
