It's no different for DVC members than anyone else and you don't need park tickets unless you want to eat in a restaurant in a park.

DDP needs to be added to your reservation, 48 hours prior to your trip. Price is about the same. For DVC, park tickets not required for the DDP.

The price is $37.99 per day for adults (10 and up) and $9.99 per day for kids 3-9. As mentioned above, you need to call MS to get set up for the plan -- I've heard everything from 48 hours to 5 days prior to arrival, but I wouldn't leave it until the last minute. You pay for the plan at checkin, not pre-paid, and you don't need to purchase tickets or any other "package" items like regular guests do.

There have been some big changes in DDP for this year. The appetizer is no longer included in the TS meals, and the plan no longer pays the gratuity on TS meals either. There are also major downsizings on the snacks for 2008.

Here's a link to the 2008 DDP FAQ over on the DDP board, and you'll find links in the first post to all of the plan brochures: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1545287

Also, you may want to check reservation availabilities at restaraunts you may want to eat at. At 180 days out from desired reservation, everyone can book a ressie. The longer you wait, the less availability. If you decide to do DDP just before you go, I'm not sure how available those TS restaraunts will be. That may sway your decision whether to get it or not.

Is the Deluxe Dining Plan an option, and if so, what is the cost?

We're going in November (renting points from someone). Right now we have the standard Dining plan on the itinerary, but since we decided to fly and therefore won't have a car, I'm assuming our Dining choices will be limited to Disney restaurants for the week. We'll be staying at Boardwalk Villas with 3 children (7,5, and 1). It seemed that the Deluxe dining plan includes 3 meals and they could all be table service if we wanted, plus they include appetizer and dessert. Seems like this would completely cover us, including character meals, but I just can't find info on the cost.

Deluxe is an option. It is approx. (rounded up a couple of cents) $70 per night per adult and $20 per child.

If you just click on the link in my post #5 above, you will find all of the info you need, including additional links to all of the brochures for the various dining plans.

For additional info, go to the DIS DDP board where that link takes you.

CAN YOU ONLY BUY THE DDP FOR THE AMOUNT OF NITES YOUR STAYING ?? FOR EXAMPLE...STAYING 2 NITES BUT NOT FLYING OUT TILL LATE THE 3RD DAY ??? :flower3:

The DDP is based on how many NIGHTS you are staying at WDW. This means 1 TS, 1 CS, and 1 snack per person per night on the regular DDP

Costs are the same. Rules are the same. Plan is per night, as it is for hotel guests.

You do not need to buy tickets.

You do not need to PAY for the DDP until you arrive.

All members of a party MUST book for the ENTIRE length of stay.

In other words, if you have 4 people in a 2 BR for the first 2 days, and 6 for the last 3 days, IF everyone wants the DDP, you'd either need to buy the ddp for all 6 people for all 5 days, or you'd need to make 2 seperate reservations.

Hey, Jennilynn, could you please use something other than all caps for your messages? They are hard to read. Thanks.
