Hey everyone! We need your help...again.

With the extention of the room-only discount through the middle of August, we have figured out that WL is only about $50 more than CSR for our 10-day stay. Now, we have a big decision to make.

We like CSR because of the bussing, the newly updated rooms, the king bed we have booked, the proximity to our 3 favorite parks, and the way the resort looks (especially at night)

My DF has always liked the way WL looks. I would love to "secretly" book it for him but I am concerned...it doesn't look like you can be guaranteed a king bed. Also, I'm not sure about the busses since I noticed this resort shares with FW.

Please help me!!!

I know the deals have been great & when they offer them sometimes that's a great opportunity to try a new place...you could always do a split stay. Tough call-sounds like either place would great. Although I did enjoy our WL stay-being huge fans of the Poly definitely a different atmosphere there.

Just called Disney...we cannot be guaranteed a king bed at WL or AKL. That might be the deal breaker.

If it were only 50 bucks more or so, there is no way I'd do CSR (and we love it, that's where our honeymoon was). WL is an incredible resort, and if we get the chance to stay there, we'd take it in a heartbeat. We went there for a meal last summer and it looks incredible. I just figure it will be much easier to go back to CSR at a later time than to get WL at such a discount. But that's up to you.

Definitely, a tough choice. We did a split stay in January b/c DH was at Grainger Convention at CSR. We stayed there 1/17-1/19 and WL 1/19-1/22. We had a fabulous time at both. CSR is just beautiful. We were in Ranchos 6a with the desert theme and had a lovely courtyard view. Dig pool was closed, it was cool outside, but absolutely beautiful as well. Everyone was friendly (except Laguna Bar) and we plan to stay in April. We had quick checkout and didn't have to go to the desk. We walked our own luggage to where the M/E was and they tagged it, gave us a receipt and said they start making deliveries at 1 pm. Our luggage would be delivered later that pm. My husband finished with the convention, while I went to check in at the WL. He met me before noon. We did request a Courtyard View 6th floor (no King bed). At check-in they said 2nd floor. I did not want second floor as I wanted the view to watch the Electric Light Parade. The rep. then checked her computer and found a King Room 4th Floor (Bearface) #4073. It faced the stream, pool, geyser, lake and we had an absolutely beautful view of the Parade at night. We love the Native American theming as it is calm and truly takes in the landscape as does CSR. We had a pin code and our room was under $200/night. We really didn't care for the restaurants there, except for Roaring Forks and Territory Lounge and I shouldn't forget the poolside bar with the British bartender--so friendly and, of course, a fellow football lover!! Makes a great frozen lime margarita by the way! Our last day it was in the 80s and came home with a sunburn. Lovely pool, nice hot tubs, waterfalls. I love both and highly recommend both. Enjoy your stay whichever resort (or both) you choose. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks to you all! I'm thinking we are going to stay at CSR because of the king bed. It IS our honeymoon, afterall. :woohoo:

I have stayed at both & even without a king bed WL all the way.

I would go with WL. Esp for that price. It is a beautiful resort. I would tell the CM when checking that it is your honeymoon and maybe they can help you get a king bed. It is not guaranteed, but work a try. This would be a no brainer to me. WL all the way. I like the idea of a split stay.

What ever you chose have a great honeymoon.

Okay, so now you all have really confused me. :confused3

Thanks for the good wishes and for your comments.

I know you are & the reason is the resort kinda sets the whole tone of the trip. And it is also a large chunk of the money spent. so it is very understandable.
But WL is so awesome I know you may not get a king bed but you will get a balcony, the resort is all in one building, boat to MK & CR, & it is a deluxe. Also there has been alot of talk about the Cheerleaders at the Values lately will at CSR you get be there at the same time as some large Conventions & even though you are talking adults vs families it is still a large group.

And one plus it would be a nice surprise for your DF.

I would go with the Wilderness Lodge because in my opinion they have a much better theme, overall location, more dining locations, transportation options and all their rooms are located in one main building.

Congratulations on your wedding. We've not stayed at the WL (no desire to--the theme does nothing for us), but we love the CSR -- we've stayed eight times including both of our 50th birthday celebrations and our 25th wedding anniversary.

Whatever you decide have a great honeymoon.

Thanks so much! Your posts were the reason we originally switched over to CSR from POFQ. We are sticking with CSR...unless we get another promotion or a pin to upgrade to a deluxe.

Thanks again. CSR looks beautiful...both the exxterior and insode the rooms. We are so excited!!!
