Please help: Buying at Disney or LI??

I am in Connecticut and just purchased 100 pts at AKV @ $99 per point. I just came back from Disney on Saturday and now see these posts of the LI events.
For 100 pts purchase as a new member, is it better to cancel my purchase that I made (I have 10 days to do so) OR are the incentives better at LI events?
I am not far from LI so a day trip there would be fine.
Wondering where the better deal is?

Did you attend one of the events? If they are still going on, then I would contact your guide and tell him/her you are interested in going so you can get the better deal.

Typically, the incentives at these events are better, by a dollar or two. But, they usually start at the 160 point level. I didn't see anything that the LI event had better deals at the 100 point level for new members. You probably got something very similiar.

No I didn't go to LI. I just did the tour at AKV last Friday and bought the 100 pts at AKV!

Then contact your guide tomorrow and find out. I am sure that he/she knows the incentives that were offered at LI. Disney is pretty good about allowing you to opt in to new incentives, if you are eligible.

So, if you can save yourself money by attending one of the LI events, then I would definitely go that way.

I actually bought into DVC yesterday at the LI event. Unfortunately I think all the LI events were done as of today. I would definitely call your guide to find out if there are anymore sessions that are going on. From everything I've read it was ending today though. The email I received to attend the event told me the only sessions were Saturday and Sunday, but I read people were signed up for Friday(that just passed) and Monday(today). I'm guessing the Friday and Monday sessions were geared more towards people adding on instead of possible new members. Also the guide we signed up with said most of the senior guides there were leaving today or tomorrow to head back to Florida. So my advice would definitely to call your guide. I wish you luck and hope you get a better deal if possible!!
