Okay...I know the free dining package can be booked with 1 day MYW passes. But here is my situation:

We are a family of 5 : 2 adults, 3 children - one who is 11, the other two are under 9. My husband and 3 children have active APs but mine has expired. What I am wondering more specifically is this (thank you to those who responded to my other thread):

Would it be possible for me alone to use all 5 of those 1 day MYW passes on separate days? Two of them will be child's passes of course and I am guessing they would need to be upgraded to adult passes. Is this even possible and is it cost effective? Or would I be better off getting an AP rate on a room with H's AP, paying for a 5 day pass somewhere at a discount, and paying for food myself? Does anyone have a good idea for how I can take advantage of free dining in our situation without the cost getting ridiculous?

Thank you for your help!

It also would depend on what resort you would want to stay at and if you can get an AP discount there. When does the rest of your family's APs expire? Are you planning on more trips in the near future?

We'd like to stay at POR and we will not be making another trip until at least Thanksgiving of 2006. Their AP's expire on September 1st.

So, I take it that you are planning on going at the end of August otherwise all of the AP's will be expired. Since it is a narrow window of availability, I would call and see if they even have AP discounts available and also the Free dining packages for that time period (they may already be sold out of them for POR that week). With an AP discount you will only be saving $48 dollars/night I believe (since they are making the whole free dining period value season). I doubt that your family could eat for $48/day. You could just hold onto 4 of the one day base tickets for later and upgrade one to a five day ticket or just use all 5 of them and upgrade from child to adult. It would be more per ticket day that way, but maybe you wouldn't want to have tickets hanging around for a year. I would think that the free dining would make sense money wise.
