I need some advice.

I am trying to decided if i should hire a car. I can hire a car for 4 days from alamo for $220. Is this a good deal.

My husband and I will be arrive at Orlando Airport on Dec 30 at 6:30 pm. the taxi would be $50 (i have been told).

We want to go to US and IoA for 2 days but only for part of the days as it is going to be during NYE so i am worried the parks will be packed.

We also need to get down to WDW which i think will be about $30.

Over the three days we want to visit florida mall, the outlet malls, wall mart, micheals and also the serpentarium in ST cloud.

DO you think it would be worth the money for the car rental. I tink it will make all this running around a whole lot easier!

please help!

1) I think you need the car.
2) not sure if that is a great price(size?) $220...but it does not hurt to shop around a lot. MAke ressies and cancel when you find a better rate...it is a holiday so that might be hard-so start with the $220 and see where it goes.

Not only the things you mentioned, but you can save on groceries and souvies.

$220 for 4 days sounds high to me

go to hotwire.com CHECK to see what the going rate is. Be careful here, DONT BUY, once you buy it is yours. I use hotwire to see what the going rate is. You can do better at Priceline.com where you name your price-start about 30% less than hotwire- they decide if they like your price. same thing -once you buy it is yours. so be sure all the info is correct, pickup date and time and place as well as drop off date, place and time. Both of these sites use the major 5 rental agencies. I rented for 6 days in San Franciso, full size car for $113. San Francisco is cheaper area than olrando it seems.

I would check around more

wow I just went to hotwire to check things out for you and they have changed their website- and buying policy...not quite sure of what to tell you here. Before you selected the type of car and they would tell you after you purchase which agency. Now I see you have a choice of agencies. Prices look really high- must be the time period you are renting.

I agree with the other poster. I take it that you're not from the U.S. FYI: mass transport in Florida is not convenient, and for everywhere that you want to go, you need a car. Taxis would be WAY too expensive.

$220 for four days seems a little high, unless you are renting one of the larger vehicles. However, you are going during one of the busiest times of the year. Check mousesavers dot com for discount codes on rental cars. You also may want to consider renting after the New Year's holiday, when rates may be cheaper. :)
