I have booked a room already but want to change our resort. Do I loose the deposit or is it pushed to the new ressie? What about the $50 change fee? And what if I want to change just 1/2 of my ressie to move to another resort? I am so confused!!! I hate this new system! :badpc: The cm I talked to could not help me. She didn't have a clue. :rolleyes1 Please help!!

From what their web site shows..they have dropped the $50 fee. Call them & tell them you want to change your resort... I don't see them having a problem, you aren't canceling...

I tried and the CM said everything had to be done on the website. I very nicely said that you cannot cancel on the website. She then said she couldn't help me and left it at that. I will try again in the morning.

Try again and ask to be connected to a Disney Reservation Center CM at Guest Services if you don't get the answers you need.

I changed my ressie last friday for trip Dec 5-14. I originally was at ASMu and switched to POFQ when a room magically came open. As per advice from CM, I booked the new ressie and put down my deposit and then called and cxled my original ressite. I did make sure I got the email confirming the new ressie, first. Everything went perfectly, my original deposit is back on my CC and all is well.

Hope this Helps

I just "modified" my ressies today- all over the phone. No charges at all. The original ressies were for AKL and GF. I changed to CSR and AKL (different room type). My credit card will be credited the difference in about 7 days. The dates for the ressies stayed the same. Only the room type and resort was changed ( all down graded price wise). You shouldn't have any problems whatsoever. I call the number they suggested to call at the bottom of the AP holder site. Make sure you use the phrase "modify" when explaining what you want to do. Good Luck!

I must be a repellant of pixie dust BECAUSE...I changed my reservation the cast member said I'm so sory but I have to charge you the 50.00 modification fee because your new reservation total is less than the original total(made on best rate program).I said o.k. I paid the 50.00,I asked to pay the total no you can't do that now...later I got a call saying there was a mistake... I owed 700 more dollars than I was quoted :confused3 WHAT! I asked questions what about the modification fee?The cast member said I dunno I only know what I see here. I have sent e-mails asked to speak to supervisors and all I get is I dunno You can either pay the new amount or loose that 220.00 deposite and the modification fee :earseek: Why do I love that best rate? Good news this has been going on for about 3 weeks so since then they have changed the rules on the best rate so hey you could come out better than me! This is my first time to purchase an ap and between being lost in the Oct.4-25th no discount and this little problem I am not so sure the ap is the best thing for me. Good Luck like others have said some seem to have no problems!

spectromagicmom- I called 1-407-939-7429. That is the number the website says to call if you don't want to book online. Is this where you called too? I actually used 2 different CM's to make those changes - so maybe you should try there again???

Thanks I will try and call that number. I called the wdw info and spoke with a super nice cast member and her supervisor contacted -I was on hold forever- and it was done with not one problem. The problem came later when I got a call from cro. I will try that number 1st thing tomorrow :goodvibes

Please let us know how it turned out for you.

I have a question. What if you want to change your dates to less (some aren't sure of airfare)? And since you are able to book more than one reservation on there, i was going to book 3 for guests coming to my Disney Fairy Tale Wedding. Now, it says that I have to be present at check-in, but I can't be for everyone. Some are coming down to WDW before me, what do I do??

Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure of the answer for that. I would call WD at the number above and ask all those questions. I wuld think that changing the number of days you're staying wouldn't be that big of a deal- except you may have to do that in a specific time period.

If there was a "mistake" in what you were quoted, you should have a legal right to your deposit back. You gave a deposit based on what you were quoted. If that isn't the price...fine Disney can do that, but they made a change to what they told you therefore you should be entitled to the refund. Simple as that. I would call & ask to speak to a manager about it. The sooner the better. That is almost like a bait & switch..except they bait with the low rate then switch to the higher without an option to back out! That isn't legal (at least I don't think it is)

Thank you my friends! :teeth: I did call and upgrade my ressie from POR to GF Sugar Loaf building. The cm I talked to, Renata, was wonderful. I have talked to her before so this was a great treat to know right away that I was going to get the help I needed. I will have to sit down and write another letter to her super.. She always goes above and beyond her job. :goodvibes Too bad we can't call and request to speak to someone directly. Again, Thank you to everyone for your responses! :wave2:

The latest in my modification saga...The latest cast member posted my modification fee as a payment but because there was nothing noted on my reservation for the rate I was quoted except the quote that was written down by me(I wrote it down on 2 different papers so I know I didn't make a mistake) I was told they cannot give me that rate...On the my vacations page on the Disney website it showed my ballance as over 3,000.00 for the remaining 4 nights of our aniversery trip! I e-mailed and said now I know this can't be right! They were modified to show the current best rate.O.K. it is still 700.00 more than I was quoted originally but it is better than 3,250.00 for a 5 night stay for a standard view at AKL. I had already invested in the cp dinner package and the MVMCP so I will be going so all is well that ends better than not going to Disney World at all... :flower:

Sorry it didn't wokr out exactly how you wanted it to Spectromom- but I'll bet you'll have a GREAT trip anyway!
