Please Help a Foreigner!!

Oh, it's so nice to hear that your husband likes Indonesia!! Bali is GORGEOUS, although some parts of the island have become too touristy. But most of it is still beautiful and mysterious.

Which Jakarta countryside did he visit? Bogor? Depok? Because as for Jakarta itself, the city is quite a nightmare with its hellish traffic, crime, and heat. I live smack in the middle of Southern Jakarta, the busiest part of the city :scared1:

Visit Indonesia sometime when you have the chance :thumbsup2

I'm sure hubby has Indonesia on our must-visit list. :) First on the list is Guam, however; he tells me that it's almost like Hawaii but much less expensive. When planning our honeymoon he kept pushing for Guam and I pushed for Bali...neither of us could agree, so we went on an Alaskan cruise!:rotfl: What a compromise...

He says that Depok sounds familiar; he was traveling with his family (his dad was in shipping and his mom is Korean so they spent a lot of time in that whole area of the earth) and his mom and dad didn't actually allow questions or comments. So he's not totally sure.

He did mention that the actual city was a pretty typical big city.

I recently googled something like "taxi anaheim" and got links to the Yellow Cab (they seem to have a ton of websites all for themselves), and they have some prices and even ability to contact them online. Might be good to check out prices!

Thanks for the Yellow Cab tips btw!

Bumbershoot, I'm so happy to hear that Guam is first on your list! That's where I'm from, so when you start planning let me know!

:) Hubby says that in order to appease my worries, we'll do a double trip. Either start in Guam (so I can see the gorgeousness) then have a short stop in Hawaii on the way home (so I can experience the $$$$$$) or do it opposite. He's so funny.
