PLEASE HELP!!! 407-WDW DINE question

I made my first feeble attempt at CRT reservations today only to be told to put my home # in!!! Is this new??? Any way to circumvent all those prompts? I feel like I need a tutorial! Anyway, did not get the PS so I will be trying again tomorrow. Need some tips please !!!

The phone number thing has been around for a year maybe? I remember being asked for my # last December. As for the other prompts, they just ask how often you've been to Disney. Marketing I guess ... You can just hit 1 everytime you're prompted if you don't feel like listening. I do that sometimes if I'm in a rush.

Go to the Cindy's advice thread at the top of this page. Then go to page 94. A couple of posts down there is very good info on how to get around this. My first try didn't work either, but with the info I was able to get right in and got both CRT & PSB on the days I really wanted.

You can also call (800) 828-0228 and take option 3 which gets you to the same place as (407) WDW-DINE but they are paying for all the time it takes for you to get through all the prompts. Probably not a good idea if you are trying to get reservations for CRT or something similar but great for the rest of your PS requests!

If you don't hit the right prompts you will be asked to enter your phone number. Here is the key:

After the greeting, when you hear the operator say "If...." press 1 then when you hear her say "If..." again press 1 again. This will place you directly in the queue.

I did this when I was calling for my PS last month. I got every PS I wanted (even CRT)

Suzanne and Angel's Momma: did EXACTLY as you said and it worked like a charm. Today was not for CRT; the CM chuckled when I said I did not want that today. Instead, today was Crystal Palace for breakfast and CG for dinner all in preparation for "the big PS...CRT" on Saturday. Thanks to all who offered help.Dirkus: love the toll free #.

I did the 407-wdw-dine this morning @ 6:45 am est. The que wasn't turned on until exactly 7:00 I enter all the prompts and waited about 17 min. The CM came on the line and I asked for CRT on Feb 1st 2005 for 4. There was some clicking of the keys and she said how's 9:25 am. I was like cool beans man!!! Then of course the deposit $10.00 adults and $5.00 for my son. I'm guessing there wasn't a charge for DD since she'll only be 9 mos. in Feb.

So I wonder if it was dumb luck or what. But I feel pretty lucky now. This will be my first time in the castle for breakfast in 22 years of going to WDW

Using the "system" written about by everyone, I got EVERY SINGLE PS that I wanted INCLUDING CRT!!! Many thanks to everyone for your help. Now if January would just hurry up!

If it is a must to dine at CRT, you might want to try for some extra days just in case you don't get the date you want. It is very hard to get the ps at CRT. Another tip is do not wait to hear the entire message. When you 1st hear the message, click 1 and then 1 again. If you wait to hear the entire message you will lose out!!
