Please Give Them Back Their Db!!

I am getting used to this now...I am getting the feel of the titles of posts which I should just avoid and I know names which I can put on Ignore. This board is so busy now, that I have to spend a bit more going through a quite a few pages to catch up when I come back to the CB. I just have to sift through more threads now and avoid topics I don't want to get near. More time on the DIS and less time doing things around the house! Guess I got to look at this positively...less housework!

exactly.

this isn't a democracy, it's a dictatorship. and while some may complain about censorship...well, he who owns the boards makes the rules, not the people who post on the boards.

Was there an explanation why the DB was shutdown?

Yes, there was a message from Webmaster Alex posted on almost every board now. This is a quote from the message...

"We are constantly evaluating the various boards on the DIS to make sure that they further our primary purpose: Disney travel planning and a Disney community.
It has become apparent that the Debate board has not added to that purpose for some time."

I would term 208 posts in a 44 hour period by one poster on the same board (CB) on the same subject (debate) to be spam. And this is just one poster. Multiply that by at least 10 people here who've been advocating a return of the DB and you have 2,080 posts on the same board on the same subject.

2080 posts in a 44 hour period = spam to me.

In that respect, I'd also term it bad behavior. That's not name-calling, it's just behaving badly.

For someone who doesn't like "spam" (which, by definition what you describe is not "spam") you appear to have waded through a lot of "spam" to come up with your data.

Why didn't you just not open the threads?
