I still find the friendly chats, but sometimes happen upon a thread that is a bashing type! I try to stay away from those! I can see enough hatred toward our president watching TV!

Congratulations, you're doing precisely what these people want. The people who've been spamming the board with numerous innocuous posts and interrupting regular life for the CB people want to drive the regular CB board people crazy so the owners will give in and give them what they want. They've even said so in their numerous posts that this is their intention.

Would you reward your children for bad behavior or would you normally punish bad behavior?

Personally, I think the spammers should be warned to stop spamming and, if the behavior continues, removing them from the situation would be a good idea. But it's Pete's board. He can do as he pleases.

Someone sounds a wee bit paranoid? What topics do you enjoy discussing? Since when are you the authority on who is considered a "regular" poster, or not? Some of us predate you. Unless, of course this is just one of your alter egos?

You can call me as many names as you want, Minnie, but that doesn't change the fact that what I see is spam, spam, and more spam. I also see many people who are crying for the DB to come back are also saying "We're gonna make your lives here miserable until you give us what we want", which, to me, sounds like a threat.

Now if you want to call that paranoid, then that's your perogative. If you want to start name-calling and 'debate'ing my position on this in the manner that people used to 'debate' on the now defunct board, then you might want to re-read the guidelines regarding personal attacks.

The only thing I can say is I hope they are monitored well over here. If they are, the one's of which Hagred speaks (which are not all, I'm sure) won't be around long.

Believe it or not, there are "regular CBers" who never visited the DB who can't stand the president either and like to say so too. I don't take exception to anyone saying whether they like the president or not.

Now if someone goes around bashing Shrek or swamp colored M&M's, well now, that's another story altogether!

More authoratative posts! Why do you feel that you are in charge of what is being said here?

What subjects do you like discussing? You sound so familiar. You really don't strike me as all that fluffy.

I would term 208 posts in a 44 hour period by one poster on the same board (CB) on the same subject (debate) to be spam. And this is just one poster. Multiply that by at least 10 people here who've been advocating a return of the DB and you have 2,080 posts on the same board on the same subject.

2080 posts in a 44 hour period = spam to me.

In that respect, I'd also term it bad behavior. That's not name-calling, it's just behaving badly.

So let me get this straight. They shut down the DB with no notice beforehand and say that within the guidelines, posting debates here is fine. Within 48 hours there are an awful lot of posts here about the DB shutting down. And you call that spam? Sorry, I can't agree with that. If you're not interested, I totally understand. But it is clearly relevant to the community and obviously something that more than a few folks have an interest in.

As I said, what you consider spam, I do not.
