Hi, my DH, DS4 and I are staying at Pop for 9 days from May 29 to June 6. We have 9 day park hoppers and free QS DP that we upgraded to reg. DP. We've had the free DP before and also paid for DP. We love it. Id really love some input on our schedule and ADRs. There's alot going on that week..memorial day, gay days and star wars weekends. Thanks for any input.

May 29: arrive at lunch, check in at pop, go eat lunch with DH's grandmother(free), dinner at chef Mickey 7:55 pm, mk emh

May 30: epcot, lunch at San angel 12:30 pm OOP (DS request), dinner at chef de France 6 pm

May 31: mk, captain cooks at poly lunch, crystal palace 6:05 pm

JUNE 1: AK, yak and yeti CS, boma dinner 7:15 pm, DTD

JUNE 2: tusker house 8:30 am at AK (trying to change to June 1), mk day, dinner at captain cooks at poly

June 3: epcot, lunch at sunshine seasons, cape may 6:40 pm (should we take the boat at the other epcot entrance)

June 4: epcot, tangerine cafe lunch, la hacienda 6:45 pm

June 5: DHS, Hollywood and Vine 8 am OOP, Ohana 5:05 pm, mk emh

We'll be paying OOP for two ADRs.

June 6: mk then home

You're very brave. Don't think I could do that many TS meals with a 4yo. I definitely couldn't do Chefs de France with a 4yo (but that might be because I have bad kid memories about eating there). Are you factoring in time for naps? Even if he doesn't normally take them, he's going to need them, at least a few of the days. That would definitely factor into my meal planning. Instead of doing two OOP meals I'd delete 2 others. And I assume you'll have a car? I'm sure you'll have a great trip!

May 29: arrive at lunch, check in at pop, go eat lunch with DH's grandmother(free), dinner at chef Mickey 7:55 pm, mk emh What time are you arriving? 7:55 is a bit late for dinner for a little one. Maybe consider grabbing dinner at the POP food court? That way you can all get a good nights sleep and be ready to start your vacation. :goodvibes

May 30: epcot, lunch at San angel 12:30 pm OOP (DS request), dinner at chef de France 6 pm Our kids love San Angel but didn't love Chefs. We all need to schedule meals for the adults during our trip though!;)

May 31: mk, captain cooks at poly lunch, crystal palace 6:05 pm Looks good! :thumbsup2

JUNE 1: AK, yak and yeti CS, boma dinner 7:15 pm, DTD I don't know how kid friendly Yak and Yeti is for kiddos ...Our kids love Pizzafari (which had indoor seating if it is hot) or Flame Tree.

JUNE 2: tusker house 8:30 am at AK (trying to change to June 1), mk day, dinner at captain cooks at poly Tusker House is our favorite character meal in the World.:lovestruc Not sure I would go all the way over to the Captain Cooks again . I would do something in the MK - We love Columbia Harbour House.

June 3: epcot, lunch at sunshine seasons, cape may 6:40 pm (should we take the boat at the other epcot entrance) Sunshine Seasons is one of our familys favorites. not sure about taking the boat..we have never been to Cape May.

June 4: epcot, tangerine cafe lunch, la hacienda 6:45 pm Love Tangerine Cafe :lovestruc..Where you are already planning on eating at San Angel earlier in the week, could I suggest maybe Tutto for Italian, Coral Reef or even Teppan Edo? Our kids enjoy all of them... just for a change of pace....:)

June 5: DHS, Hollywood and Vine 8 am OOP, Ohana 5:05 pm, mk emh Our kids have 0 interest in the characters at H&V and we had a terrible meal at Ohana so we won't be going to either of those...that being said there a tons of people who love both. :)

We'll be paying OOP for two ADRs.

June 6: mk then home

We will be staying at POP with you as well. We are arriving on the 27th and leaving the 5th.:goodvibes

We enjoy Tusker House for breakfast so I think you and your son will enjoy that. Sunshine Seasons is a very nice CS. We actually enjoy Captain Cooke's, all of us love their grilled cheese. Now for the ones we would not enjoy but keep in mind all restaurant opinions are subjective.

I know you are trying to please your son but IMO the food at Chef Mickey's especially at dinner is horrendous. But if you go in knowing this and with low expectations you may be okay.

Our family also has not had a good experience at Ohana's in a very long time, the food has fallen to a very low quality and def. not worth the chaos at check in. We also don't care for Cape May for dinner. We have not done Boma due to past experiences at the buffets. We will only do a buffet for breakfast and get our character meals this way and we limit it to 1 0r 2 per trip.

If it were us we would replace Boma with Jiko, Chef Mickey's with The Wave, and Ohana with any of the Grand Floridian restaurants including the buffet 1900 for dinner. We did dinner there to please our DD when she was younger and it was far better than the other buffet dinners(we would not go back just for the food however).

These are just my opinions and many people love your choices and I think I see that you are trying to please your son which everyone tries to do. There are many great items on the kids meal at non buffet locations and I think you would all be happier. IMO 1-2 character meals are plenty.

dinner at chef Mickey 7:55 pm, mk emh Chef Mickeys is pretty gross for dinner...I would go elsewhere like the Wave, Kona or Grand Floridian Cafe

lunch at San angel 12:30 pm OOP Great choice, we love lunch there

dinner at chef de France 6 pm Great for lunch but dinner there is horrible

captain cooks at poly lunch, Love this place, the food is very good!

crystal palace 6:05 pm Very salty food, very poor quality of food

yak and yeti CS, Nothing special, just like the food court at the mall....the TS is much better

boma dinner 7:15 pm, DTD If you like sweet, cinnamon vanilla flavored foods you will like this...

lunch at sunshine seasons,` They have a great veggie cuban sandwich here

cape may 6:40 pm (should we take the boat at the other epcot entrance) One of our favorite places to eat

tangerine cafe lunch, Never had a bad meal here, the food is great!

la hacienda 6:45 pm We ate here in Nov and it was terrible...SAI is so much better

Ohana 5:05 pm, mk emh The best dessert in all of WDW!

I know you are trying to please your son but IMO the food at Chef Mickey's especially at dinner is horrendous. But if you go in knowing this and with low expectations you may be okay.

Agreed! Chef Mickey's for dinner has food that is barely edible. It is one of the only restaurants that I will not return to... ever... unless I hear they've made major changes. And I am not a picky eater. As long as the food is as good as a frozen tv dinner (many Disney restaurants, IMHO, are at that level) LOL!!!!

Chef de France - Some of the dishes are very good... Some are terrible. I love the french onion soup!

Crystal palace food is ok. You are paying for the characters Thinking tv dinner quality here

Yak and Yeti - Crap Shoot. Some days the food is excellent and others it's so-so. We love it there.

Tusker House breakfast is great!

Cape May dinner is pretty decent.

Hollywood and Vine breakfast is good/ Dinner is not.

Ohana is fun. The meats are tender. We like it... Again, not a gourmet meal.

Everyone has their own opinions, but... I would just think about the Chef Mickey's for dinner.

>>May 29: arrive at lunch, check in at pop, go eat lunch with DH's grandmother(free), dinner at chef Mickey 7:55 pm, mk emh

CM will definitely be more about the experience for your son. The food is similar to a school cafeteria...I actually enjoy it at breakfast, but noooot at dinner.

>>May 30: epcot, lunch at San angel 12:30 pm OOP (DS request), dinner at chef de France 6 pm

We enjoy SAI...great atmosphere, friendly service. Definitely not a texmex which I think a lot of folks go in expecting and are than disappointed. The fried plantains with sour cream are delicious!!

>>May 31: mk, captain cooks at poly lunch, crystal palace 6:05 pm

Cap Cooks is pretty standard CS. Most folks praise it for having a Dole Whip machine but I'm not a fan of Dole Whips. Everyone seems to hate the food at CP, but I love it! I'm VERY picky with meats so I tend to eat vegetarian at buffets and CP has lots of tasty salads and veggies and a plethora of unhealthy desserts.

>>JUNE 1: AK, yak and yeti CS, boma dinner 7:15 pm, DTD

Two of our FAVES! We've eaten at Y&Y four times with great service and great food each time. The fired green beans, tempura shrimp, and cream cheese wontons are delicious! Boma is also fantastic...again, as someone who avoids buffet meat, there's still a ton of options and they have absolutely FANTASTIC soup offerings! Breakfast is even better though. :thumbsup2

>>June 3: epcot, lunch at sunshine seasons, cape may 6:40 pm (should we take the boat at the other epcot entrance)

Can't go wrong with Sunshine Seasons, one of the few CS places in Disney where there really is something for every taste. And the veggie and salad sides are so crisp and refreshing, won't leave you feeling bloated like french fries. Great desserts too!

>>June 4: epcot, tangerine cafe lunch, la hacienda 6:45 pm

Tangerine cafe is very tasty if you're a big fan of chick peas!

>>June 5: DHS, Hollywood and Vine 8 am OOP, Ohana 5:05 pm, mk emh

H&V may be the one restaurant I've never heard a single positive review of, so I hope the characters are HUGELY important to you to book that meal! :goodvibes

Good luck with your planning!

I would say that is a lot of TS meals. It will eat up a lot of your park time and make your days less flexible. When our family does TS meals I try to keep it to one a day.

Hope you ahve a great trip! :)

May 29: arrive at lunch, check in at pop, go eat lunch with DH's grandmother(free), dinner at chef Mickey 7:55 pm, mk emh - I have read some not so very good reviews on Chef Mickey's dinner. We normally eat breakfast at Chef Mickey's - typical breakfast buffet. But, since it's your first night & you plan to spend your first night in MK, you're probably trying to both get a really nice "Wow" meal w/ characters for the 1st night for your son & something close to MK. So I would probably leave it, but go into it knowing that I'm going there for the characters & not for the food! Also, 7:55 is kinda late for dinner, but you know your family. However, I would think that by 8:00 pm, Chef Mickey's is going to be crazy-crowded/wild & the food on the buffet may not be as fresh...

May 30: epcot, lunch at San angel 12:30 pm OOP (DS request), dinner chef de France 6 pm - I'm assuming you'll be in the WS part of EPCOT? If so, your choices look good to me &, while Chefs de France may not be all that "child-like", Remy does come around on a plate!

May 31: mk, captain cooks at poly lunch, crystal palace 6:05 pm - We prefer Crystal Palace for lunch - it makes for a nice break in the middle of a hot day! If I were you, I might try to switch this to lunch & then do your counter at Captain Cook's for dinner - this way, when most other people are having dinner, you can be touring the parks & not have to stop at a specific time for an ADR.

JUNE 1: AK, yak and yeti CS, boma dinner 7:15 pm, DTD - We like Flame Tree for lunch in the AK, but I'm sure Yak & Yeti is good too! I think you'll really like Boma - the AKL is gorgeous! And there are plenty of choices on the buffet.

JUNE 2: tusker house 8:30 am at AK (trying to change to June 1), mk day, dinner at captain cooks at poly - If I couldn't get Tusker House moved to June 1, I probably wouldn't keep this ADR - since you're going to be in the MK. Maybe try for Chef Mickey's breakfast here instead & find something else for your first night. And, like others have said, instead of going back to Captain Cook's, you might try a counter in the MK - we really like Columbia Harbor House!

June 3: epcot, lunch at sunshine seasons, cape may 6:40 pm (should we take the boat at the other epcot entrance) - And we have done this - used the boat at the Int'l Gateway to get to dinner in the Boardwalk Area. I think it depends on how you arrived to EPCOT - If you're driving, I would just get in my car & drive over to the Beach Club. If you've ridden the bus, then you'll have to ride the bus from the Beach Club back to a park & then back to your resort. We're trying Cape May for the 1st time this trip - it gets some really good reviews! We love Sunshine Seasons!

June 4: epcot, tangerine cafe lunch, la hacienda 6:45 pm - Since you're already doing San Angel Inn, you might try a different country unless you're going for possible good seats for Illuminations! ;)

June 5: DHS, Hollywood and Vine 8 am OOP, Ohana 5:05 pm, mk emh - I think this looks good - We've only been to Hollywood & Vine for dinner (before it was a character meal), & we didn't like it. However, I'm sure breakfast is better, &, once our younger son is a little older, we'll probably be doing breakfast here too! Our traditional "last night" dinner at WDW is normally 'Ohana, &, I think, w/ your early time of 5:05 pm, there might not be as much of the crowd/line to get in.

We'll be paying OOP for two ADRs - When we have the basic DP, we ALWAYS end up paying OOP for some ADRs!! :)

June 6: mk then home

I think it looks likes you've picked some fun choices for your son! If you decide not to do Chef Mickey's on your 1st night, you might try Whispering Canyon Cafe - there are no characters, but it's a fun meal & just a boat ride away from the MK.
