I will be traveling solo Dec 7-17th. This is a last minute trip so to speak. Since I am going alone I am thinking about Not getting free dining. Would you? Adr's r soo hard to come by. Traveling alone I don't know if I would save money. What do u think??

If it's free dining I'd take it!!! Why not? I agree on the ADR thing, we had free dinning with the sit down meals and it stinks. We have to stop our day to go eat, hungry or not... getting a restaurant you wanted could be impossible and we weren't overly impressed with any of the sit down food. HOWEVER, I was able to switch it to quick service plan and I'm thrilled. 2 QS meals 2 snacks per day, I can eat whenever I want, and there are lots of good QS places in all the parks. If you only have the choice of the other plan you can switch out that sit down meal for a QS meal plus a snack (I think that's still the deal). So if it's free dinning, it'll save you tons on paying for food, go for it!:thumbsup2

I'd do it, too. You can always use a break during the day and you need to eat. We enjoy the food despite what others say. Enjoy your vacation. I'm excited for you!!

I was traveling with my parents, brother and niece on my '07 trip and I occasionaly split off to do a few things only I wanted to see. I found that being a flexible single or couple can open many doors to dining without ADRs. Restaraunts with unconventional seating such as a patio/bar or Teppan Edo work really well. As you arrive in a park just check around a few places to see if there are any openings for the next few hours.

it's also an opportunity to meet people and have great conversations.

Why not take the Quick Service dining offer? That way, it's free, and you don't need ADRs or tip money. If you decide to do a sit down, try a walk-up.

Now that is just what I will do. IF I want a TS and being solo I will "see" if they will seat me. But I know QSD will always be there. ty and ty all for helping.
