During our stay at WDW, June 29-July 3, the MK is open until 11 on Monday. On Tuesday, MGM opens early and stays open late with two showings of Fantasmic! That same night, MK closes at 9, but has e-night rides until midnight. We have been to WDW many times, but we will have a guest with us who hasn't been to WDW in about 5 years. So, right now I have us going to AK on Monday morning (early entry) and to MGM for dinner at 50's PT and then hope to see the only showing of Fantasmic! that night at 9. On Tuesday, I was thinking we could go back to MGM for the early entry and then go to MK and stay for e-ticket.

My question to anyone who has an opinion is, would it be better to go to MK on Monday evening and stay till 11 (we don't care about the parades, so we can ride during them) and go to MGM Tuesday and plan on seeing the 2nd showing of Fantasmic! and forget e-ticket night altogether?

I'm trying to figure out what the crowds will do, and I want to do the other ;) Any advice?

Personally, I think you're hitting it right with your original plan. You're taking advantage of the early entries, then getting out of dodge and heading to less crowded avenues. Plus, although it's more legand than documented fact, MK tends to be cooking on Mondays, which is the first park day for many people staying for the week.

I wouldn't miss nighttime at MK, especially with a first-timer, but you've covered that with E-Night, a great way to see the park. I'll look forward to reading other's opinions, but I personally think your logic worked.

I appreciate your thoughts. I'm glad you see what I was trying to plan, but I am curious if anyone thinks otherwise.

I really don't like the thought of paying extra for the e-ticket, but we have done it before and know that it's worth it. I just was wondering if the crowds would thin out in the late hours of the scheduled closing the night before.

I wish they hadn't put e night on the same night (the only night during our stay) that MGM stays open late!
