Finally leaving tomorrow morning, whew! 7 parks in 9 days plus the Downtown Disney.

Crying, screaming kids everywhere! Oh wait....it was Disney World- what did I expect?

My kids are older...two in the military and one in high school....I just forgot what it's like w/ small ones. Maybe it was so horrible like these other kids this week that I just blocked it out.

My teenager didn't understand a few times and I had to just share with her -
the kid screaming and pitching a fit on the floor- his dad CAN'T give in so he's just got to finish his tantrum.

That kid is just sleepy.
That kid is a brat.
That kid...well, just look at his parents.
That kid is hot.

..... all the reasons why kids scream and cry. Not their fault and is totally what they are supposed to do.

I'm just glad I'm going home and hope I don't return to this place- ever...well, I have a feeling when my grandkids do come along I'll be back.

So, until then....

Sorry you had such a rotten time. We always have a great time and are leaving in just 4 weeks for 12days/11 nights-can't wait.

Disney's not for everyone.

I always loved going as an adult but I even enjoy it more going with my DD who will be turning 10 on this trip. :goodvibes

And you're right, there can be a lot of unhappy kids at WDW-sometimes I think the parents expect too much from them-disrupted sleeping, disrupted eating, disrupted playing, ......

I'm lucky, my DD has never had a meltdown (at WDW or otherwise) and this trip will be her 10th since she was almost 3. :thumbsup2 But then we've never really been one of those families who has to be going all the time. We allow for a lot of down time. Pools, parks, unscheduled naps, just running around. For us, it's not all about getting the most rides, shows, eating, etc. in. It's about being together and having fun whether it's riding ToT, swimming in the hotel pool, exploring Florida, or playing on a playground. Fun and memories-that's what it's all about to me. :cloud9:
