We officially now have had the snowiest winter on record in NE Ohio (since 1940 when records were first kept). Cleveland airport is closed and we are getting blizzard conditions. I really need a nice vaction fun of sun, fun and DISNEY! Help.

WE would gladly take some of your snow on Long Island, or at least my kids would.

We've had ONE storm this winter, with about 7" of snow that was gone within 48 hours--- AND it was on a day when schools were closed anyway :( (Can you tell I'm a teacher???)

Anyway, stay safe and warm, bake some brownies and watch some old movies (I'm thinking An Affair to Remember or Casablanca)

Stay nice and warm and dream dreams of your next Disney trip-- it's coming up soon, right???

Thanks - Great advise, who wouldn't love Brownies and movies! And, YES, we are heading to DISNEY on March 20!

As for snow days, we have had 5 so far and my DS10 is hoping for the 6th on Monday!

We are getting hammered with snow too (Western New York).. I feel your pain. We are now measuring this snowfall in feet instead of inches,....I am so sick of snow, and ready for spring!

Just to make you feel a little better :goodvibes , down here in FL we had tornado watches yesterday with lots of rain and tonight it's supposed to get cold - 30's wind chills (that's cold for us!) - so at least you aren't missing the any beautiful 80 degree weather right now.

I am sorry to hear about the tornado warnings. Mother nature is not being kind to either of us. Take care and hope everyone stays safe!

I am with you on that note. I am from central Ohio so it isn't as bad my way, but the drifts in my yard come up to my hips. I want out, and i am just dreaming of Disney and the warm Florida sun:yay:

WE feel the pain, we're in Hubbard Ohio and our 2 children, married, came up from Columbus for a family passing Thursday and were stranded. They stayed through by my urging but decided to try to make home Saturday afternoon. That left me and the wife on pins and needles until they called 5 hours later, that they made it back. They came in 2 cars and followed each other home, son said he couldn't pull into his drive in Dublin, snow up to his knees and daughter lives in Hilliard and had 20 plus inches. They called every hour on the journey home and reported that the going was slow but passable, seeing that we didn't know what to expect on Sunday and thank the Gods they got home safely.

Here we sit in Hubbard with at least 10 inches of snow, first layer was snow, then it sleeted and that created an ice layer over the snow and last night we got an additional 4-6 inches more of snow with alot of blowing and drifting. Its now 12 degrees out but sunny. It took Monday and Tuesday to melt all the other snow we had, looked good, grass showing and all then all hell broke loose Thursday, some change but Spring is right around the corner, I hope.

We just came back from WDW middle of January, sure do love that Florida weather, especially now, seems winter is extra long this year but its just seems that way, cabin fever sets in in March but can't wait for the buds on the trees and the singing birds to come back.

We were in Columbus last weekend for a family wedding. Thank goodness it wasn't this weekend! The newlyweds are supposed to fly into Columbus from Punta Cana today!! YIKES! Maybe they will get stranded in the Caribbean:thumbsup2 .
