WE feel the pain, we're in Hubbard Ohio and our 2 children, married, came up from Columbus for a family passing Thursday and were stranded. They stayed through by my urging but decided to try to make home Saturday afternoon. That left me and the wife on pins and needles until they called 5 hours later, that they made it back. They came in 2 cars and followed each other home, son said he couldn't pull into his drive in Dublin, snow up to his knees and daughter lives in Hilliard and had 20 plus inches. They called every hour on the journey home and reported that the going was slow but passable, seeing that we didn't know what to expect on Sunday and thank the Gods they got home safely.
Here we sit in Hubbard with at least 10 inches of snow, first layer was snow, then it sleeted and that created an ice layer over the snow and last night we got an additional 4-6 inches more of snow with alot of blowing and drifting. Its now 12 degrees out but sunny. It took Monday and Tuesday to melt all the other snow we had, looked good, grass showing and all then all hell broke loose Thursday, some change but Spring is right around the corner, I hope.
We just came back from WDW middle of January, sure do love that Florida weather, especially now, seems winter is extra long this year but its just seems that way, cabin fever sets in in March but can't wait for the buds on the trees and the singing birds to come back.
