Leaving Thursday morning and I have never stayed there. We have a 10, 7 and 2 yo. We are thinking about requesting a room overlooking bay lake on the north wing, but that is a hike from the pool it looks like.

Anyone have and suggestions, tips, hints???

Thanks!!!!
Gregg

we have stayed at the contemporary a couple of times and loved it. we have stayed at both the back near bay lake and the front near the parking lot. i think the most important thing to request is to be in the north wing, it is much closer to the food court and the walkway to magic kingdom. i personally really liked the room in the back near the lake. it really was not that much further to the pool and its much quieter than the front rooms. plus you get an awsome view of the electric parade everynight from your balcony. have a great time!!

We stayed at CR in a north wing garden room facing the lake last summer. It was wonderful...well, except for the hurricane. But, the walk to the pool wasn't all that awful. Our room number was 7113. Ground level, and it looked out toward the play ground area also. We would love to go back to the Contemporary!!

We stayed there a few years ago when my DD was 5. Our room was on the North Wing, towards the end of the building. It is a hike to get to the pool and to the main building, but the kids never minded it much, EXCEPT after a long day at the parks. In the morning was fine, during our down day when we stayed at the hotel all day was fine, but after the day at the parks, it seemed like the room kept moving further and further away from us. The room had a wonderful view of the lake and the electric parade. It was close to the walkway to the MK, although that was really only useful in the AM. No way were we walking back after walking around all day. All in all we would do it again, although the kids are obviously much older and will not need to be carried back to the room

actually there are no balconies in the wings maybe you were on the 1st floor and had a little patio but on the 2nd and 3rd floor there are NO balconies. just didnt want to mislead gregg

your right we have always stayed on the first floor. i never really paid much attention to the rooms above us, but don't they still have those tiny standing room only balconies???

if you are a twig you might fit.. there is only about 6 inches between the door and the railing... stick to the first floor if you want to get air LOL
