Please explain the benefit of using Vaction Planning?

AND yesterday we got the Walk in Walt's Steps tour as well as the evening desserts/seats for the parade.

I was no where near home when I would have had to call DL to book these myself, I was out enjoying a local festival. It is SO nice to have Vacation Planning do the work for me.

Also got the Segway tour so now we're all set!

I highly recommend Vacation Planning. It really is the equivalent of concierge at WDW.

I agree with Bumbershoot, I can get this all taken care of myself.

I agree for the most part..it was the time I called a second after they opened for Fantasmic! seating and the place I wanted was sold out already..made me go hmmmm. Of course that was when they only had the balcony and the smaller riverside, so maybe it isn't a big deal now, so we'll see how it goes. I totally understand the benefit for people who are in 'odd' time zones that need to call or who are at a job where they can't call, or have several things they want to do and just don't want to worry about calling everyday to make it the 60 or 30 day out thing.
If you REALLY want everything taken care of and have a blast and feel like a VIP do the Backstage Magic Adventures by Disney trip.

I agree for the most part..it was the time I called a second after they opened for Fantasmic! seating and the place I wanted was sold out already..made me go hmmmm.

I have to say, I don't really think vacation planning people dial in right at opening with the hope of signing up people for the premium events they want. I suspect the people who use vacation planning are already scheduled and they just tell you on day 30 that they were able to get your requests for you.

We have used the concierge people may times to do our bookings at WDW. It was incredibly helpful. I would like to use vacation planning at DL when we book for next year. I am glad to hear it seems to run almost as smoothly as WDW. At WDW I just emailed them my dates and they took care of everything and emailed me back my confirmation numbers...easy breezy. At DL apparently everything is handled by phone so apparently I would just call in my requests ahead of time. Glad to hear from people who have actually used it that it works....sorta

I didn't have Vacation planning do my ADRs for me because I did those first before I knew Vacation Planning existed. I think they will do them for you though if you ask them. I found that calling to make my own ADRs was really easy. Anything I wanted was open and I just changed one yesterday 30 days out to make it 4 of us at Napa Rose instead of 2. No problem.

It is SO much easier dealing with DL than WDW you won't believe it.
