I'm really confused. What is the difference between POR and POFQ. We are leaving in a couple weeks and I'm still confused on this! (I am blonde!:) )

We are staying in the alligator bayou because we need a trundle but when I look at pictures on other people sites I get confused whether the bayou is in POR or POFQ. Thanks for any help!

The alligator bayou is in the riverside section of PO. The 2 resorts are "sister" resorts meaning you can share amenities (like the pools). They are still 2 separate resorts though.

Thank you Kilee. Which pool is at the POR? My kids are really hoping for the serpent one. What is the other pool at POFQ? Also, do you think I should request a particular building? Are there any that are not good? Thanks! Julie

The serpent pool is at POFQ. That is the French Quarter section of Port Orleans.

You may remember POR as Dixie Landings. The two resorts kind of merged about 2 years ago and Dixie Landings name was changed to Port Orleans Riverside. The mansions and the bayou section are in the Riverside part of Port Orleans.

We stayed in bldg 14 of Alligator Bayou. Everything was about a 5 minute walk. The food court and the main pool both awesome.
We had a water view and it was beautiful.

Hello fellow St. Paulite!!!!! I have not seen too many of us around!

We just got back from PO-R. The pool there was just redone - kind of a Tom Sawyer type of theme. It is very nice. The serpent pool is at PO-FQ, which is a quick 5-10 minute walk (very nice walk) down the river. I think there is also an internal bus you can take.

I liked POR better because it was quieter. And the food court was better.

I think you will have a great time!!!!!

Hey Minnesota!
I can't wait to get out of this horribly cold weather. I hope you had a nice time. I noticed you went to CBR on your previous visit. We've been there twice and had to switch to POR this time because our youngest is over 3 now. We loved CBR so I've been really nervous about switching to POR. I just keep thinking as long as it's warm we'll have a blast. Julie
