for my friend !!

how do you play two players ? do you neeed to have a game in each ds or just 1 game ?

is the memory in the game or the machine

thank you everyone :)

Natalie I think you have to have the same game..I am just playing mariokart on the DS and am playing it wi fi...so that means that whoever I play has to have the same game.
Hope this helps

I nearly bought one of these but was put off by the fingerprints all over the screen. Do they clean up OK? We have always had gameboys but generally don't put anything (intentionally) on the screen.

The ones I see in shops are not cared for in the same way you would care for your own I'm sure, but there are always chunks taken out of the screen as well which bothers me a bit.

It's a great little machine Karen:) It's supposed to be DD's but we play on it more than her;)
You get a special stylus pen, which you can use on the screen. Yes they are easy cleaned.
Hope this helps

My DD has had one now since April, and it came with screen protectors, small clear "plastic" covers that can be bought on ebay, or possibly from Game etc.

DD1 wants one of these for Xmas :)

I've read that there are some games where only one of the DS machines need the game loaded and then other players can join in using the wireless connection - not sure which games allow this though :)

The DS also plays some of the GB games too, there's a slot to put the cartridge into, and there are backpacks available which you can store your machine and a spare battery and games in. Our son loves his and uses it on long plane journeys as well as at home. We just bought Nintendogs and MarioKart for him this Christmas :ssst: The games improve hand eye coordination!!Wifey :paw: :paw: :paw: :paw: :cat:

Two ways of playing multi player games on DS, depending on the game. With some games you both need the game (or in fact you can play up to 4 on some games), and some you don't - you download the game to your machine, when it "picks up" the other machine with the game loaded. Obviously, once the person who has the game turns their machine off, you lose the game.

Thing to do is look at the back of the game box and it will either say "Multi-card play", which is the one where you need the game each, or, "Single card, downloadable play" - which is pretty self explanatory.

I've got 3 games, Tiger Woods, Urban Ashphalt and Super Mario, and the 1 is downloadable (Super Mario).

I have played golf against a mate, and it is quite a good laugh.

thanks for that !! very helpful :) i think my friend has decided against buying one but i will pass on the info
