I've never done any sort of dining plan (at any park) and I tried looking through old posts, but still not understanding just how they work.
We're considering taking advantage of the new 25% off/free half board offer, and staying at the DLH. Which from my understanding, would include the 'premium' voucher, usable at such place like Inventions, Walt's etc...the expensive restaurants as well as the not so.
This is where I get a little confused...do you then (with reservations, I'm sure, busy summer) just turn in said voucher for inventions dinner buffet (is this the character one, as well?) with no difference in money owed (unless you order more drinks or alcohol, I'm guessing)? Same for the Wild West show?
Or Walt's? Where you order from a 3 course set menu and a drink...there is nothing more to pay? But you can also use the voucher at a less expensive restaurant, but then you're losing out a bit..correct?
I'm trying to do the math on a stay at DLH and attempting to see if this offer is worth the cost even with the free half board (3 nights...2adults/an 11 year old...1700¬).
