please explain extra hours....

Can you tell we leave tomorrow? I have had a gazillion questions. Now for the Extra Magic Hours....

Are the parks less crowded during this time?
Do they do this morning/evening or both?
Do you take advantage of this?

A few sections of one theme park may open an hour early for resort guests and/or a few sections of one theme park (usually a different park) may stay open two or three extra hours after normal closing, for resort guests only.

If I remember correctly, only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland were open at Magic Kingdom for the morning extra magic hour, and only selected attractions in Future World were open at Epcot for the evening extra magic hours.

I don't recall the schedule, some days may have no extra hours at any parks.

Last few times I was there I did not pay attention to which park was open early or late. I thought that the park(s) with extra magic hours, when I coincidentally was in them, were more crowded than I expected.

Hope this helps you... I think the morning hours are good to go to, less crowds. The night ones seem more crowded than during the day. You cannot use FP during them. I have only been to about 3 night ones & each was way toooo crowded for me.

If you are an early riser, it is generally felt that the during the morning EMH you can ride many of the usually long ride attractions. particularly in Fantasyland. Each park has more attractions open in the evening than in the morning. See the scedule above!
There were many reports over the busy summer months (I don't know about now) that the Evening EMH were so crowded that they were not worth it. I have not personally experienced this, but I think we will avoid the Evening EMH park and visit it the next morning. People say that the park is less crowded the morning after an evening EMH.

I have heard the same thing about the evening hours but, from recent posts it seems like there has not been much of a wait during normal hours so hopefully it would not be that bad in the evening.
