please expin DVC/ rent trade board

I have been trying to post points for rent but keep getting denied due to this statement they keep sending
me, "we look for at least 8 posts in each of at least 4 of the previous 6 months,"

How can I post rental points?? SO confused.

You only have one substantive post on the site in the past year. You either need to become and active member of the community for a little while, or pay for the privilege of posting on the rent/trade board.

FWIW, I didn't think the response you received was rude in any way and answered your question about what it would take to offer your points on the Rent/Trade Board without paying the fee.

The current Rent/Trade Board policy has been in effect for more than 5 years. The fee to post there is waived for active members of the DIS community. Active has been defined as at least 50 posts made on DIS boards other than the Rent/Trade Board, and are evenly distributed over the past 6 months. For example, 50 posts made in the last two weeks would not result in a fee waiver.

Note that Those who want to rent a stay from a DVC member do NOT have to pay the fee, but must respond to a thread on the R/T Board that was started by a DVC member.

To the OP - I believe tone is sometimes easy to misinterpret in an email/post. I obviously have not read the specific response you received with the decline of your rental post, but if it was anything like the ones I received it was not rude or disrespectful. As you can see from my join date and post count, I have been an active member for years but sometimes life gets in my way and I do not have the time to visit as often as I would like so my posts drop off, resulting in me being declined for the rental board. As an example, most recently I had over the minimum amount of total posts but they were not evenly spread out (need 8+ a month for 4 of 6 months) so I was declined. Any decline I have ever received has never been anything but professional and explains in detail the policy and why I have not met the requirements. I have never taken this personally and acknowledge that I did not meet the requirements. If you do not wish to be a regular contributor to the board, you have the option of purchasing a Rent/Trade plan which will allow you to post without the same minimum post requirements. I have never felt the need to do so because I like coming here to find out what is going on, ask questions, contribute and answer questions when I can. I see you have been a member since 2010 but only have 234 posts so far. If you wish to advertise your rental but do not want to participate in the ongoing conversations on the site on a consistent basis, the rent/trade plan is probably a good option for you.

if you dont have enough posts...then you can purchase the ability to advertise....If you can look at my avatar, you will see i had to do that this year to advertise some of my points...its easy, once you do that you can post your points
