Please Don't...

All good responses so far, but . . . I would like to add:

"The World nor the rest of the world is not your ashtray or trash receptacle, so keep your cigarette butts, cigarette ashes, and the rest of your trash in your car, until it can be disposed of properly in the proper receptacle. I am tired of picking up after you, when I am at home, and especially when I am at WDW. Thank-you."

Just bumping this up. It's really important, and it's dry.

We canceled plans for Sea World today, even though the fire is under control and nearly out, all it takes is one spark to set it off again and I really don't feel like being there if it does with mine and DS's allergies.

I think we may go visit the World for a bit this afternoon LOL since the rain is gone for the day.

Tossing butts is nasty in all cases. I think both my children at one time or another have picked one up off the ground and played with them before I had the time to even react. Maybe cigarettes should have the same kind of deposits placed on them that soda bottles do. Then even if the smoker doesn't return the butts to get the deposit returned someone else would be motivated to pick them up. Gross but profitable.

And to you Floridians, hang in there!!! As we all know, eventually it will rain!

That happened to me also. It burned my arm and I jerked the wheel :furious: :furious:

Same thing happened to me while I was driving on the interstate. Air currents carried it right into my window and smack into my face. Not pleasant!

I've had it happen while a passenger on dh's motocycle. It dropped between us and we had to pull over to find it. I got a small burn from it.

I don't care where a person is at the time, in Florida, Colorado, or where ever. No one should EVER throw a cigarette out of a car. And while we are on the subject....don't just drop them outside anywhere...whether you are out walking or driving. Period.

Why do 99% of smokers think the entire world is their ashtray? It's pathetic and disgusting You can't go anywhere without easily finding cig butts all over the ground - beaches, golf courses, public parks, church parking lots, libaries, etc. You name it, some idiot smoker just tosses their crap anywhere they please. They might as well toss used toilet paper around everywhere while they are at it.

As someone who spent an entire summer in 1998 working for the USDA Forest Service fighting one of the larger fires in Florida that year, I can attest first hand to all the problems this can cause.

KEEP YOUR BUTTS TO YOURSELVES! :firefight

If you want to toss a butt somewhere, try the floorboard of your passengers seat first. What? You don't think that is a very good idea? Then why the heck is throwing it outside any better!?!?

Refreshing!!! We are getting a nice soaking here in Polk County.

Although I know they need rain desperately...I pray that there isn't too too much of it while I am there...sorry...I don't mean to be selfish but the ideal would be that they have enough to keep fires at bay but also not enough to ruin ANYONES travel or vacationing plans.

Oh and yes...keep your butt to yourself! (oops that sounded wrong??!!)

Did you know it is a felony to toss a cigarette butt from a car? in Fl?? It sure is!!

Why do the culprits that engage in this idiotic behavior never respond to these posts? My guess is that they know they are idiots but don't care.
