Please don't think I'm un-greatful,but...

Ok, I have to respond. I am yet another Disney addict. I have subjected my family to at least annual WDW trips for the last 18 years! We've even made it to Disneyland twice. After I sailed on the Magic on a 3 day, I .......

-Bought DVC points so I could go back
-rebooked last summer during cruise for this summer's cruise
-now prefer DCL to WDW
-despite the fact that I ALWAYS get seasick
-LOST OVER 25 POUNDS TO PREPARE FOR THIS CRUISE!(see below)

I know I won't convince everyone but my entire family who are, quite frankly, Disney tolerators, not Disney lovers, are REALLY excited to return this summer, although, I think we need a NEW itinerary to rebook this summer....

ARE YOU LISTENING, DCL?

Either a new itinerary or a cruise with me and Andy and Matthew/Corinna/Franceska and BD and Lynn!!!!!!
That is going to be one fun cruise!

Rae

Yeah, that 2005 cruise will be fun. I'm going to go to the Radisson to eet all the Diser's on the Aug 23rd cruise which will be fun and I am so looking forward to it. I may even have talked my foster mom into a 3 day Wonder cruise in late October or November when they come home (okay back to Florida). So I can go DCL again, yeah. I'm already signed up for a cruise in February, but unfortunately its not Disney, it's Carnival, but it will be a bunch of friends from Minnesota so that will be fun.

Hey Rae, Sounds like fun!! : ) You will be able to find me on the ship very very easily if we ever cruised together. I am the one with the life vest on even when the safety drill is over cause I am such a chicken!! Is that attire formal enough for dinner? :p

First of all I want to THANK all of you GREAT People for all your opions and insight to cruising and life. I wanted to list all your names and Thank each and every one of you personally but I was afraid that I might by accident miss someone. We have switched our plans to the 7 day Oct.2 04 special cruise to Antigua. I have come to realize that we will have a BLAST, plus I noticed that there are a few out there that might sail with my husband without me, Oh NO!! (just kidding) But we backed it up a little longer because we decided to do 7 days on land too. We'll either do the 7 day park before the cruise, 7 days after the cruise or 50/50 not sure which way we'll go but we have time plus we will be going for our 33 anniversary. So the money is down and we got a catagory 6 on deck 6 room # 6076 with a veranda. So because of all you Great Folks I am going to kick back and plan our cruse and have the time of our lives..
Sometimes when other people put things in perspective in black and white it hits, and for some reason it worked for me. So I can't tell you all how Greatful I am.
Hey, now I can put our names on the who's cruising when sheet. YIPPIE!!
Thank's again and God Bless!!
Chatty (Nadine & Joe)

Sounds like an awesome vacation for you!! Enjoy it! Lynn : )

Congratulations Chatty, you both will have a wonderful time. You can enjoy the best of both worlds, cruisin and the parks. I was in Antigua on my very first cruise in '93 (I think) on another cruise line. It's a very nice island, and I enjoyed it.
Lynn

Chatty - you will be with us on that cruise!!!!! HURRAH!
Yes, they have formal lifejackets for dinner - you crack me up! I always try to get 5622 on deck 5, it's a category 6 with the verandah. LOVE IT!

Guess we can start a thread soon for ourselves!!!!

Lynn, Matthew and Corinna were on Antigua and liked it very much also. Sounds like it will be a great place to visit.

I bet with the change to Antigua that the ship will become full with LOT's of DIS Friends..(hope so) Have a Great Day..

CHATTY:
SO glad you decided to give it a try! Wish I were able to make an Antigua trip!

You'll have fun...especially with all of your friends here on the DIS.

CRSNDSNY,

Who knows, maybe you can join the cruise too.. It's a year and a half away.. Never Know..Thank's for the well wishes.
Chatty

Okay Chatty - we are set then!!!! We have early dining.

Rae

Rae519,
Oh No! we have late dining. Do you think early dining would be better? I went with what they suggested. They said witout children I might want to do late dining? We should get a thread going the pro's and con's on late dining vs early dining.
Maybe I should stay on the late rotation for your sake, Chatty at dinner every night might be scarry (just kidding) Did not get that name for nothing.
Thank You, Rae,
Chatty

We prefer early - you can always change to late but it's the early time spots that people can't get.

Hey, do you think I have this many posts because I am quiet!!!!!!

Rae

Let yourself go. No present notions...just go. And one other question: for you people with no interest in the cruise why are you on the cruise board? Wes

Thank You, Rae,

We cruise without children and prefer the late seating. This allows for more time in the afternoon to lounge by the pools plus there are less younger children at the late seating. There are more pros as well, but these are the standouts.

Always expect the children at either seating to be (1) well behaved or (2) loud, cranky and wild. That's the way it goes. So if you think you can escape.....good luck and let me know the secret!!

Maybe by the second seating I am so hungry and SO feeling the Disney-ness of everything that I am happy and don't seem to notice much besides what is immediately around me. I think I may have gotten pixie dust in my eyes.

First cruise we were put with three other families all of which had teenagers. At this seating I never even noticed if there were children around. Second cruise our entire section was couples. I saw kids around by they looked at least pre-teen. I never even noticed smaller children. Now, up on Deck 9 that's another story!!!
