The Plan; Leaving for Florida next Saturday at 8 pm from the Ct. shore in a pick up truck with two very spoiled pomeranians and my 76 year old cousin. DH has the Army from 4 am Saturday to 8 pm Sunday. Jude is going to a kennel until Monday. I get a call this afternoon. PANIC!!! "Its going to rain, can you leave Friday"? I am gone for a week as it is. Jude is all set to go to the Kennel on Saturday. That is another day that he has to be away from home. I could leave him with the DSs but he listens to me and DH and I would DIE if something happened to him. (hit by car, etc) If you look at the www.weather.com, the threat of rain grows from 10% to 20%. I think I can live with those odds. The pick up truck has a cap. I am also "making sandwiches". Did you know that there are absolutely no places to find food en route? Nothing. Not a McDonalds, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, nothing.
I will make tuna sandwiches, and pick up my raspberries and yogurt. Maybe if I am lucky, I will find a cup of coffee.
Anyway, I told her that I don't think we need to be that concerned about rain, (it isn't snow). The verdict? We will decide on Wednesday. I know some of this anxiety on her part is going back to Florida without her DH. I can't imagine how I would feel walking into my home with my cousin and NOT my DH. It is sad. Her DH was Italian and he was a great cook. I am not sure she has ever cooked anything. He did it all. Making sandwiches was part of their "ritual" for the trip back home. In the meantime, pray for dry weather until Sunday night.
