I'm thinking with the menu change for CRT, the next popular place for a change will be Le Cellier's!! Or, maybe even less on the character buffet's. What does everyone think. I bet the next 2 credit restaurant will be Le Cellier's!!! :earseek:

NOOOOOOOOO! :earseek: I haven't even go to eat there, yet! I am waiting to go on our Dec trip, but can't get an ADR. Hoping for a walk up. I really want to try some things on thier existing menu, but I guess it doesn't matter (to us) if the only change they make is 2 TS credits on the dining plan. We have AP's and can't get the dining plan. :(

I would guess that if more restaurants go to 2 credits, both Le Cellier and Chefs de France will be among them.

I don't think what happened at CRT would necessarily affect other restaurants -- that is a unique situation.

Le Cellier has to compete with all the other World Showcase restaurants, so raising their prices dramatically would result in an equally dramatic drop in demand. If you're thinking that Le Cellier might "go princess", I think that is very unlikely with Akershus already doing princess meals. Concerning going to 2 TS credits, that also seems unlikely as Coral Reef, which is more expensive, is dropping from 2 credits to 1 as of Jan 1. They seem to be requiring 2 credit for dinner shows, "signature" restaurants, and "special" meals like CRT. I can't see Le Cellier being designated as "signature".

Remember that CRT has experienced for several years an EXTREME imbalance between supply and demand. They increased the supply by providing 6 princess meals, and even that didn't help, so now they working on reducing the demand. Le Cellier is popular yes, but the difference between supply and demand is nothing like CRT.

No, I didn't think it would go to a princess meal!!! I just think there will be changes in all the popular menus since the dining plan has become so popular. I think they will be cheapened up like CRT dinner menu after Feb. 1st!

Am I remembering wrong, or was Le Cellier a 2 TS meal when the current dining plan began? I thought I remembered reading about it changing to 1 credit sometime in the last year.

You are correct. It was a 2 Credit meal already and then was changed to a one credit meal. :) They better not change it as I am going twice during my april trip! hehe

CRT was so hard to get i think they figured people would pay anything to eat there if they'd get up before dawn to make the adr :)

if anything they will probably just cut more pricey dishes( think they already have some places) since they constantly change the menus anyway

Don't forget the big difference here - CRT is popular because it's an "event", and has very little to do with its food.

LeCellier, on the other hand, is popular precisely because it's a superb restaurant. If they take that away, they may as well return it to the inexpensive buffeteria that it was until about 12 years ago.

Only 8. It was summer of 1997.

Of the six princess meals offered, only two are in the castle at the MK. It looks like that is the draw beyond the princesses themselves.

Wouldn't be too much surprised if they changed the menu at Le Cellier a bit, but not big time like some others.
