It's just obnoxious!

You aren't going to the club, you're going to workout. Now don't get me wrong I don't want to be smelling your BO, but if you're afraid of smelling, shower before, put on fresh clothes, and use a good deodorant. I mean really! There's nothing worse than trying do a class for an hour while the guy next to you is sweating like a pig but smelling like he is ready for a night on the town.

I agree! They always pick the treadmill next to me! While we are at it, can I add some gym etiquette requests?

1. If there are 25 open treadmills, do not get RIGHT next to me. Leave a buffer if you can, if it's busy, I do not mind having you close. Same in restrooms.

2. If you stink, don't get right next to me!

3. If I am wearing an Ipod, and using the treadmill, now is NOT a good time for chatting, just wave if you want to say hello!

4. if you use the restroom FLUSH, come ON!

5. Please do not sing out loud to your ipod, we can all hear you

6. If there are 10 people on treadmills staring at the TV, do not just go change the channel, unless you ask first. I could never do that!

7. If you wear your Timberland work boots to the gym EVERY single day, well Mr "Treadmill in Timberlands" guy, please just DONT!! Get some sneakers. The stomping is SO loud!!!

8. If you spill something clean it up!

Thank you. :) I feel better

What's worse than cologne? Gas. I think I'd rather have the cologne.
Things that also annoy me? Someone loudly singing along to his/her Ipod while on a cardio machine. I also can't stand grunting/groaning while lifting weights.

Actually, I voilate that one a lot, but there is a reason for it. The local Y has a layout like this:

Y Y Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z

X, Y and Z are all treadmills, but they are three different types. The X treadmills are the oldest, and the deck actually feels harder than concrete. I avoid those unless there is no alternative. The Z treadmills are better - smoother, somewhat quieter, and with more options. But I prefer the Y treadmills - same as the Z, with a couple more bells and whistles. And a significantly higher top speed.

X and Z treadmills max at 12. Y max at 14. When I am doing speedwork, or working on my final sprint, I want a treadmill than can hit 14. So I will choose Y over X or Z, regardless of which Z treadmill people are using.

My dad grunts when hes on the eliptical. Its so embarassing! :scared1::lmao:

Can I just request no bathing in perfume/cologne and going anywhere in public. I mean if you can give me an asthma attack, how the hell are you breathing??

and use a good deodorant

Be careful what you ask for. There is a new line of "perfume scented" deodorants out there. You can even buy matching body mists. They had samples out the other day where I was shopping and OMG are they potent! I think they were Caress, so everyday, grocery store type deodorants.

I agree! And, when one of these people shows up on the elliptical machine next to me I move. But, in doing so I make a big deal of sighing and sniffing so they know exactly why I've moved. The smell of it gives me an instant headache.

I use to work in a dental office as an assistant and I could not stand patients that would bath in perfume before coming in. Here I am bent over a patient we are working on and my eyes start to water from the perfume they used :scared1:

Ok-here's the deal.

i use the ecliptic or whatever the heck its called
In one area i always choose the end one because I'm smack in the middle of all the TV's:lmao:

In the upstairs area, it gets more complicated.
I prefer the newer ones that give your heartbeat-BUT there are a couple machines are right under the ice cold AC & I cant take those

So i dont give a flip if I'm next to YOU and there's a bunch open-got it?:upsidedow ;)
