I have decided to delete my original post so people stop flaming me, IT WAS A JOKE!!! Got it people!!!

Okay this thread has turned from a joke to a thread that is just questioning parents parenting. If a moderator can please delete this thread that would make me very happy. This thread was started because I mis-read a thread titled "Buying A Mattress" and I severely apologize to anyone that is angered by my joke. I also appreciate that moderators didn't ban me from the DisBoards because of my (I think was funny) joke. I am not making fun of any people with bad backs as sometimes I have back pains too. Sorry, and You Are Surely welcome to anyone who thought this was funny like me and you can just P.M. me if you want more of my comedy. Sorry and Your Welcome!!!

Haha Haha!! I am TakodaCaleb's Mom. Not really 102 and any mattress at Disney is way better than my junky one at home. He sure does have a sense of humor. Blame it on summertime or too many energy drinks. We are a Disney loving family and appreciate those of you who see the humor in his posts. I monitor his Dissing, heck we Dis together most of the time. I will certainly curtail anything he does that goes beyond fun. I also had a good laugh at this post. Thanks for the comments. Thank you moderators for recognizing that no harm was intended. Looking forward to a good sleep at Disney in the fall!

This is my last comment. I am getting really angry that people are judging me and my mom. I am very sad that people who are judging us are also the ones saying that I was being non-disney when I did this. Like I said before I do not regret my decision but I do wish that this would get out of my life because I feel like I am on trial for anything I have done in my life. I know I do not have to comment but feel it as necessary to justify my choices. I give a big "Thank You!!" to anyone that has defended me and has backed me up all through this. So shipping it two-day-air or otherwise wouldn't do it because she'd be a night or two without it. Same-day Fedex is EXPENSIVE!

How about buying another one in Florida, have it delivered to the room, then donate it to charity for the tax write-off at the end.

Also, have you called the Disney people to see if they have the same mattress somewhere or if they can get one?

No I mean the exact one she has because she had one of the springs removed to make it comfy.

Honestly, there is no way to do this... other than same day express mail and it will be more than what it will run to purchase another one and remove the springs. There is no easy or cheap way for you to do this.. good luck in how ever you decide.

Before you even consider ACTUALLY taking/shipping this mattress, you'd be well-advised to contact Disney to see if it is even possible to put a personal mattress in one of their hotel rooms. Disney may not want 'outside' older mattresses in their rooms.

That would cost a lot of $!!! Try one of the resorts with newer mattresses. What about the Heavenly beds? We stayed at CSR and LOVED the new mattresses and I have a bad back. They even had brochures where you could buy them if you liked them. I hated the pillows though.

#1 I'm pretty sure Disney would say no

#2 Maybe renting a small UHaul and buying a twin size of the same mattress and removing one of the springs for vacations. I think last time we rented a small uhaul trailer and it was around 60.00? So much much cheaper than shipping a mattress.

Yeah, I really don't think they would allow this. I doubt they would want to up the chances of introducing bed bugs into the room (not to say you have them, but introducing a "foreign" to the hotel mattress could bring that problem).

Hello my mother (102) has a bad back, so she can only sleep on her own mattress. What is the cheapest way to bring in to Disney and back. Thank You and I am Serious.

I think the only way it might be feasable is to drive down and take it with you. Like the others said, it would be rediculously expensive to ship it down the same day you flew down and even overnight shipping would be crazy expensive and still require that she go a night without her mattress. Plus I would hate to think of what would happen if it got lost or damaged in shipping.

Strapping it to the top of your car and driving it down would probably work, but depending on where you're driving from and how long the trip is I can't imagine that hours in the car would be very good for her back either.

I think the OP is goofing on us. I sleep on a Temper Pedic at home. When I am at Disney, I take a Flexeril before I go to bed, to keep my back relaxed.

I know mods and many others put a lot of time into this board and doing something like this is not really a nice thing to do.. maybe this "child" needs to be reported... at least I motion that we report it.. Personally I thought it was hillarious and feel no need to call the DIS police. If it's true (which I highly doubt) then it's hillarious and no one was hurt. If it's not true, then it is still hillarious and no one was hurt.

This whole world needs to smile and laugh and little more and I thank the OP for bringing laughter into my life today.
