Please Critique Our Transportation Plan

We'll be staying at the DTD Hilton in a few weeks. One day of our visit, we plan to make rope drop at Epcot using the hotel's shuttle. We'll have dinner at the park; after dinner we plan to use park transport to the Polynesian to see the MK fireworks (bus to Poly or monorail to TTC and and walk to Poly). After the fireworks, we will take a bus from the Poly to DTD and walk back to the hotel (~three-tenths of a mile). Short of driving or taking a taxi, is there a better option?

There is no bus from Epcot to the Poly, unless its evening EMH at Epcot. So you would have to take the monorail to the TTC and then walk over to the Poly or you could get on the resort monorail and take that to the Poly.
Other than taking a taxi back to your hotel you best bet is to take the bus to DTD from the Poly and then walk to your hotel

Good to know about the bus, and that's OK because we were planning to take the monorail. Is the bus from Poly to DTD direct? If not, what route does it take (stops)?

I think the bus to DTD may also stop at Typhoon Lagoon on the way to DTD, but I could be wrong.
