please give observations....too much MK?....does toon town open later than rest of MK?we dont have to leave for airport until 12:00 fri should we do a morning at a park?would have to purchase another ticket since 5 day park hopper.any ideas for arrival day or should kids rest up?

I would avoid MK on Sunday and Monday it is more crowded on these days. Most people arrive on Sat or Sun and go to MK first.

Is this your first WDW trip? If so and given the age of your kids I would not go to MK first. They expect all the parks to be like MK and they are not. Epcot is great park and my kids love it -- but when they were little we did not go in MK first.

Have you tried to get a PS for Chef Mickeys on your arrival day? This maybe just enough for that day and then you wouldn't have to go at 7:30 on your Tuesday. It also would get everyone in the mood and wouldn't tire you out to begin touring the next day.

Disagree with those on this site who skip early-entry advantage. Go to MK on early-entry & with two 4-yr-olds, go straight to Fantasyland. "Do" (1) Dumbo, (2) Peter Pan & (3) Pooh right away -- before the non-early-entry crowd arrives & the lines build. Key to this is to be up-and-moving EARLY. Be at MK at least 15 minutes before they open -- 30-minutes is even better -- to allow time to clear security. You may then want to take a Big mid-day break as early as 11 a.m. -- Monorail back to the Contemporary. Rest up. Do take in the fireworks at MK -- Wishes is outstanding!

We always do early entry...........it's just a necessity with kids, especially for Fantasyland..........that's almost the order we do......we actually do Dumbo twice, Pooh twice, then Peter Pan.......by the time we're out of that it's usually too long a wait to do it again...........we never do the teacups or carrousel, but will have to do carrousel this time as ds 2 is horse crazy. They eat up lots of waiting. We usually leave around 11-12 and go back to hotel, and then come back around 4 ish. That really helps the flagging kids! You could go to another park after that to avoid the early entry crowds...........but we haven't had much problem doing it this way once in summer and twice in Spring. However, this year we're doing Christmas, so are ready to have to rethink strategies!
