Please critique my Animal Kingdom schedule :)

this is my REALLY rough draft for our three MK days. We need to fit in the festival parade one day, and other than that, I would like to be done everyday by 3 - possible?

another FP

9:30 - Tusker House
11:00 - Kilimanjaro Safari
11:45 - Gorilla Falls Trail
12:40 - Enter queue for FoLK (or get FP)
1:45 - Lunch at Flame Tree
2:30 - Flights of Wonder
3:00 - Kali FP
3:40 - Head to Nemo queue

My only critique of this schedule is that if you get wet on Kali, you will like be REALLY cold at Nemo. I speak from experience! You may want to poncho up for Kali to stay dry.

My critique of pretty much all of your days is the amount of back tracking you are doing. Especially in Epcot

Test Track

Innovations Most of Inventions is closed or will be closing after labor day

Nemo

10:30-11:30 FAST PASS Turtle Talk Waste of a FP, as are most theatre shows

lunch at Sunshine Seasons

Living with the Land Living with the Land may actually need a FP now that it is tier 2 again. I was there last week and there was a 30 minute wait

1-2:00 FAST PASS Spaceship Earth Space Ship Earth is near the entrance/exit. Best to ride it on your way in or your way out.

Grand Fiesta

2-3:00 FAST PASS Frozen Ever after

4:00 Reservations at at Teppan Edo

Figment Why aren't you riding this around the same time you are near the Seas and the Land? Makes little sense to back track for this ride.

With three whole days, all of this is definitely doable, even leaving by late afternoon. My question would be why you are leaving at 3? Magic Kingdom at night is even more, well, magical. Could you do one day where you sleep in and stay until after dark?

I wouldn't FP Peter Pan twice. Instead, I'd do it at rope drop one of your mornings. This is because the interactive queue is very cute, and with FP, you don't see that. The line moves too slowly to do standby later in the day, but the first half hour or so it's fine.

MK is the best park for FP availability after your first three. Many people suggest scheduling your 3 FP in the 10-11-12 time frame, then booking one at a time in the app. Many of the attractions are usually available. This is a good chance to get multiple rides on, say, Buzz Lightyear. Family competition! (If you want to know where the "secret" targets are, let me know...)

I don't see People Mover (TTA) on your list, or Carousel of Progress -- they're both classics! The good thing is that with 3 days in the park, you don't have to schedule your days with the same detail as some of the parks.

Be sure to see the Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire show in front of the castle. I was a huge Dream Along with Mickey fan, but this is a good show, too. And you mentioned Festival of Fantasy one day, which is great. It's the best Disney parade in years.

I'll probably think of more later!

Back to Epcot. If you have lunch at Sipunshine Seasons, will you be hungry for dinner at 4:00?

For AK, boneyard can be britally hit when sun is out. If you go back in evening, it is wonderful after dark.

We went to Nemo after Kali, and we wore our stylish ponchos.

I was just there last week. Keep an eye on the times of the shows at HS we did frozen sing along, little mermaid and just got the end of beauty and the beast because the last show was at 5. My 5 year old loved the character meal at Hollywood and vine but as it turns out was afraid of all the Star Wars stuff Happening around us.

At AK we did Kali (got soaked) and then finding nemo and were freezing inside the theatre.

Do you happen to know what nights and times the Star Wars fireworks are scheduled? I can't seem to track down that info anywhere!

Aw, shucks...;)

I am a tour director for high school bands and choirs. My favorite part of the job is giving advice to the kids and parents that help to make their trips special!

As @suswa wrote, Lights, Motor, Action was a victim of progress, closing when they started working on Star Wars land.

Since you are not going for a couple months, it's hard to make exact plans with show times. Some of them are pretty consistent, but check MDE close to your visit to confirm. The shows with the most limited times are Indiana Jones and Beauty and the Beast, so make sure you know the times for those so you don't miss them.

It's also the smallest park, so although it is never ideal to backtrack a lot, it's not as vital that you avoid that here as at the other parks. Showtimes can cause you to have to put in a few extra steps during the day.

Rope drop is an absolute must for signing up for Jedi Training. I advise arriving about 30 minutes before opening. The child must be with the parent (while the other parent makes a Starbucks stop at the Trolley Car Cafe!), to answer a couple questions. They will offer you the next available show, but if you want something later in the day than that, you can request it.

For FP, great choices in Toy Story Midway Mania and Star Tours. Toy Story can be difficult to get day of, or sometimes even 30 days out, but you should be fine 60 days out. For the third, maybe Indiana Jones. It's a huge theater, but sometimes it can fill. You don't have any interest in Tower of Terror? That's usually my third.

Yay for being Star Wars fans! After you sign up for Jedi, head right to Launch Bay. It's so much fun! Watch the intro movie, it's very cool and a great way to get into "Star Wars mode". Hah. Bring some trinkets to trade with the Jawas, and do both the Chewbacca and Kylo Ren meet and greets. They've done a great job with Launch Bay! Watch for the Stormtroopers in the courtyard, they are fantastic. Don't miss the March of the First Order or Galaxy Far, Far Away shows if they are being offered. There is also another short Star Wars movie - Path of the Jedi, I think it's called - showing now in a little theater to the right of the restrooms across from Star Tours.

After Launch Bay, Disney Junior is right there, as is Little Mermaid. By the time you do all that, you might want some lunch. I'm not crazy about the QS offerings at DHS, but Backlot Express has some Star Wars -themed items (and two self-serve drink stations, which are great for refills!).

Frozen Sing-along is a guilty pleasure of mine, so funny and so much fun to watch the little girls react to the show. It's also a nice A/C, off your feet break. There are plenty of show times, and it's a huge theater, so you usually only have to arrive 10-15 minutes before showtime. You might even be able to fit this in before lunch.

When you know your Toy Story FP time, you can plan when to do that, Pixar Place (mostly meeting Buzz and Woody), and Muppetvision.

I guess I'm saying it's tough to come up with an order of attractions until you know your FP times and your Jedi Training time, but it's not a deal-breaker for DHS.

I think you can definitely do everything on your list, without feeling as if it was a death march! If you decide you can handle a night time show, it is a tough call between Fanatasmic and the Star Wars fireworks. Both are great shows, but you can't do both the way the timing is. As Star Wars fans, I'd choose that, especially since Fantasmic requires a substantial time investment as well as a LONG walk into and out of the amphitheater.

You'll have a great trip!

Do you happen to know what nights and times the Star Wars fireworks are scheduled? I can't seem to track down that info anywhere!

The times have not been announced after October 1. Most people assume it will continue to be shown every night, but that has not been confirmed. Keep an eye on THIS THREAD, which is religiously updated by the wonderful @yulilin3. She talks about the fireworks on about the 11th post down on the first page.

So, I took all of the advice and tried to re work my 3 day MK schedule.

We are heading to the park one night (hopping from HS) for Wishes (it's such a limited schedule while we are there because of the Christmas party). Our MK night is not shown anywhere on the following schedule.

I struggled with the revisions as now day 3 is a bit weak.

I thank you in advance for your help! I really do appreciate all of the help and advice :)
