Our family group of 4 adults, 2 teens and an 8 yr old is looking to stay in a family suite with the 2 qn bedroom. We're not sure which location would be best, Aventura or Sapphire Falls. What we're looking for is more specific information on the rooms themselves, and whether or not one would function for us better than the other one. Pros and cons on each family suite? It would also be helpful to know of general complaints you have, or the things you really liked, at these two hotels. Thanks so much for your help!

I looked at both of these for my last trip and we ended up staying at aventura because not having carpet was a big sell (my 4yo still plays on the floor and hotel carpet can be disgusting). I liked that sapphire had a real door between the 2 sleeping spaces but aventura's half walls + curtains provided plenty of privacy and sound dampening and the design of the room (curve) also helps.

My complaints are generalized to Aventura itself, we've stayed in a standard room before and had the same problems - the bathrooms have very little countertop space and lots of technology stuff was broken. We had an accessible room so only had a tub but I believe one of the differences between aventura and sapphire kids suite is that aventura has a separate tub and shower although since your kids are older, they may not want to bathe together in the bathroom at the same time. Aventura's elevators are notoriously frustrating although we had a lower floor this time and didn't have any issues.

My thought is that deciding which hotel is the "better" choice probably depends on your family dynamics (who is sleeping in which bed).

Wanted to add - because the "living room" at aventura is part of another curve in the room, (separate from the two twins), I would consider the pullout couch in the living room as another sleeping area so a total of 3 sleeping areas at aventura vs 2 at sapphire.

This information on the suites is much appreciated. It is also good to know about the items that were broken, lack of bathroom counter space and the elevators. I didn't think that I really needed information on the hotels themselves, but clearly I do. Thank you!
