How does Everest compare to Big Thunder and RocknRoller in terms of length of time, etc? does Everest go upside down? (I didnt think it did). How would you compare the thrill factor?

Hi there,

I will give you the opinions of 3 people that rode it in our family.

Myself - Roller coaster lover - I thought this was fantastic, you can watch the big drop from the viewing area before you decide to go into the ride queue area and i must say that it looks much worse than it actually is. Expedition everest is so well themed, the whole thing is excellent from start to finish.

Daughter aged 10 - Roller coaster lover- It is not as fast as Rock n Roller coaster, It is about the same speed as Big thunder mountain but with a large drop (looks much worse than it is) The ride goes backwards for a short time and some parts are in the dark, I did think it was a little scary in some parts but I just wanted to ride again and again.

Daughter aged 9 - I loved Big thunder mountain this was my favourite ride ever, I thought it might be the same as this but it is'nt really, i was not sure the first time i rode it, probably due to the anticipation of wat was gonna happen but once i got used to it just wanted to go again and again. It is nothing like rock n roller coaster at all.

Hope that this helps. It really is something special not only visually but the ride is like nothing else there. enjoy xx

Any non-lover of roller coasters out there? Your opinions please. I go on Splash, BTMRR but not RnR or Space.

How is it for some of us chicken types? :lmao:

Rockin' Roller Coast Starring Aerosmith- This roller coaster is unlike anyother coaster ride in WDW. This is the only roller coaster that has loops. It is faster than BTMR and EE. You are indoors for this ride.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- This ride may be fast but it's not as scary as RnR. It is a mainly outdoor ride and doesn't have any loops or it doesn't go backwards.

Expedition Everest- If your afraid of heights lik me than you should skip this ride. It goes backwards and forwards and has VERY steep drops. It doesn't have any loops.

I loved, loved, loved everest. I got a chance to ride it on a slow soft opening day and rode it 5 times in a row. It's exciting but not too scary, imo. The theming is great and I liked that it starts out calm, works into the fast thrilling parts. The drop looks bigger than it is, imo. RnR, while I like it a lot, scared the you know what out of me the 1st time i rode it. Started out waaaay fasted than i expected and stayed there! The 1st time i rode everest i just wanted to ride again and again.
Have you seen this? http://www.bigfloridacountry.com/everest.htm
It's a video of everest.

It's the most like RnRC, but without the loops about about 10-20mph slower. It's a very smooth ride with no jerking. It has the one big drop, the rest are smaller drops. One part is the dark and you're going backwards, but you don't get jerked around the corners. It's a great ride!!
