please close this thread, fridge missing over a year

Just wanted to let everyone know that the frig is fine. Pick up was a breeze.

When you check in, if the CM does not give you an envelope from the previous swapper, just ask if someone left you an envelope. (I did this because I knew that the previous swapper left me the envelope, beautifully decorated, I might add, so I just asked if my friend had left me an envelope, he checked and gave me the envelope.)

Having a great time, weather is great, and parks are really not as crowded as I had expected for Easter!

I will put the frig in luggage services for the next swapper, clearly labeled, and put the enveope with the claim ticket at the front desk.

Off to see Mickey!!

When I dropped the envelope off at the front desk the man seemed a little confused. I had to explain it was for a fridge I had just put in luggage and the person listed on the front of the envelope was going to pick it up. He asked me your reservation dates to make certain a person with your name was staying during your time frame. :scratchin Then, to double check he wanted your confirmation number. I'm so glad I had written those things on the front of the envelope! I just pointed it out for him.

Glad you're having a wonderful time! I'm missing WDW something awful!! :sad1:

We just got back yesterday afternoon, and we had a great time. Wanted to let everyone know that all went great with the frig. I followed your lead with the envelope and did exactly as you did when I dropped it off. It should now be in the hands of the next swapper.

I know what you mean when you dropped off the envelope. Sometimes they enter it into the computer and sometimes they just take the envelope. this time the CM entered it into the computer, so all is well!!

What color is the box? Do we put the next person name on the box somewhere?
I was reading some post and I want to make sure I get this right.

Drop off the refrige at luggage service, get a luggage slip and hand it to the front desk(in a envelope with the next person info)

I just want to make sure on the info. Thanks
 
There is no box. The frig is white and on the top in permanent marker is written, "marcia's popping frig swap" with a phone number if it gets lost again.

I brought with me papers that I printed at home with the next person's name, arrival date, res # and Phone #. There was a marker and paper left just in case you didn't have any, but then I taped these pages to the top, front, left and right side of the unit.
the frig is then taped shut and brought to luggage services. Get a claim check from luggage services and put it in a envelope that you give to the front desk for the next swapper upon arrival.

I have face to face swaps planned with the families before and after me. :yay: Always a good thing to keep the fridge out of baggage claim for as long as possible!

I just wanted to check in to see if I need to take anything for it, baking soda, wipes, etc?

Less than 5 days!! :banana:

Hey! Are you willing to take reservations for Sept. 2010??? I really want to get in on one of these and I'm having a hard time finding one that will take me down for that date this far in advance. Let me know! We're looking at Sept. 19-24th... I'd be willing to make some cute Disney vinyl with my Cricut to decorate the fridge as well :) Thanks!
