Please advise - Posting pics from Apple products

I checked the thread for uploading photos directly to a post and couldn't determine what will work for following scenario. I even did some tests. And yes, the size of the image was small enough.

I have pictures on my iPhone and iPad in the camera roll. I want to post those into my reply/post while using my iPad or iPhone. Where are the step by step directions for that? Is it possible?

I tried to do this from my iPhone yesterday. I chose 'upload a file' and my 'folder' to my camera roll opened up. I chose the picture I wanted to upload, but it was too large. If you have resized your photo to be able to upload it, go ahead and click on the button to upload a file, maneuver to your pic, select, and upload. You should be able to upload that way.

I didn't have time to fiddle with my pic settings on my phone so I just waited until I came home and uploaded from my computer.
