Rope drop (RD) is the opening of the park for the day. Some of the parks (MK for sure) do a cute little show 15-30 min before the park officially opens for the day. Arriving at rope drop usually means you can get in popular rides before crowds get too bad.What is Rope drop? Sorry, I'm such a Disney newbie
