I've read that the Plaza Pavilion will be closed for refurbisement until March 05.

If we wanted to do a both a character brekkie and a supper which 2 should we do? Heard a lot about character breakfasts but not much about dinners.

We've done breakfast with Pooh at Plaza Inn and dinner at Goofy's kitchen. Both are highly recommended.

If you're going to Plaza Inn, make ressies for the earliest time and see if you can get into the park before park opening. THen have your breakfast and head on into the park at official opening time. The characters were great when we went. They spent time at every table.

Standard breakfast fare but included mickey waffles and omelette bar.

There was Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and Goofy.

Goofy's Kitchen for dinner is raucous (in a good way). When we were there in April for dinner on a Saturday night they had prime rib and a host of other great dishes. there is a kiddie buffet bar too with mickey chicken things, PB&J pizza and mac and cheese. Desserts were awesome too. Alcoholic drinks were put on a separate tab. They do the macarena with all the characters and kids.

We saw Aladdin and Jasmine, Brer Bear, Ghepetto, Mulan, Pinocchio, and Goofy.

Hope this helps. Have fun!

In DL, only the Plaza Inn offers a character meal--breakfast with Pooh and friends. At DCA, you can have lunch and during busier times dinner at Ariel's Grotto, which is also a character meal (Ariel is in the lobby and I've seen Goofy and the chipmunks visiting tables). Otherwise your best bet for a character dinner is Goofy's Kitchen. I did that back in June and thought it was great. Lots of characters there: Goofy (obviously), Minnie, Chip & Dale, Alice, Rafiki, Pluto is out front.

I never got to experience any of this as a child:( But since I'm going for my Honeymoon and soon to be DH and I are in love with Disney do you think it would be silly to see two newlywed adults eating at these character meals?

Which one gets the most crowded, breakfasts or dinners?

Al's Jasmine: I have seen many couples dining at Goofy's and Ariel's many times without kids. What better way to celebrate life and love than at the happiest place on earth? One thing to consider you can have a drink at Ariel's and it is a little less noisy than Goofy's but the food is not as good in my opinion! Have fun and worry not honeymooners! And just one more note, my DH and I spent a boring honeymoon in the mountain home of my parent's friends. We were broke, it rained the whole time and we passed the days by playing monopoly. We should have been so lucky to have been at Goofy's! We just took a second honeymoon this past weekend in Disneyland without the kids and agreed it was way more fun and romantic!

Al's Jasmine - we honeymooned in WDW not DL but we did 2 character meals there. It would be fine - everyone is a kid at Disney!!

With much encouragement (okay well two people but who's counting?), I have booked our character breakfast for goofy's kitchen yay! Thanks guys, if you guys said it would be sorta weird for adults to show up with no kids, I really wouldn't have gone for it, but now I think it's one of the highlights of the honeymoon! Thanks again!

As for adults at character meals- Ive done 8 now and non with more than 2 kids and up to 15 adults- So yeah its not a kids only thing :)
