Plaza, MK - Hamburger?

We have not been to the Plaza before but are planning it for our Aug trip.

From their menu it shows that hamburger and fries are $11.49 compared to the other MK places that charge $7.59 for hamburger and fries. Are they better tasting hamburgers or are they charging extra due to sit down restaurant.

I have read not to use DDP credit here. If you add up hamburger($11.49), milkshake ($4.29), and dessert ($4.79) it comes to over $20.

DD prefers to a hamburger than a sandwich.

We ate there almost 2 years ago and the burgers where great. I personally would use as a meal from the dining plan. We are using the plan to get good meals, and if it happens to be cheaper, that is just fine.

My husband did have a burger at Cosmic rays and said it was not good. I dont remember what I got there.

Yes and yes.

Some of the CS aren't bad (I think Pecos Bills is better than Cosmic Rays) but all the food we had at Plaza was better than at the CS.

The burgers are angus beef and about 8 oz. They are large and of the same quality as those found at ts restaurants like Kona Cafe & Grand Floridian Cafe. They are a major cut above the counter service burgers imo.

The burgers at Plaza are far better than the counter service establishments...and larger too! They also have a great reuben sandwich per my DH. And be sure to get a shake and a sundae...you will be in heaven!

Yes - they are different. THey are cooked to order and made with the beef like the other restauratns like someone mentioned- not just fast food patties. I believe the fries were crinkle cut (not sure if that is right or not) and fresh and hot. It's really a nice little gem.

The Plaza is a "must go" place for us!
The burgers are well above the quality and size of counter service burgers. The milkshakes are the best in any of the parks!!!

Thanks for this thread....we're trying the Plaza for the first time next trip and I don't care for the park burgers, so this may be just the place for me to have a burger!

I was on the reviews board and "mpmluvstigger" gave an excellent review of The Plaza. They appeared to like it and it is the only time I ever saw a pic of the food! I was trying to decide a good burger place in MK and I think The Plaza will be it.
