DH and I ate lunch at the Plaza on Saturday May 3rd. We had the first opening at 11:00 and got a nice seat by the wall (I'm not wild about people behind me- getting nuttier by the year I guess).
Last time DH got a chocolate milkshake and it came out in a glass with the stainless steel container with the remainder it in. I swear he ended up with 4 glasses total. We swore we would share one the next visit. When we ordered it this time we mentioned we would be splitting it and ended up with 2 glasses pre-filled with whipped cream and a cherry on each- nice touch but next time we won't mention the splitting thing and see what we get. Maybe ask for an extra glass after it arrives...
DH got a burger and fries. I got MY reuben with german potato salad. I LOVE the reuben here- my favorite anywhere. I've had them in NYC but still my favorite is at the Plaza. Marble rye grilled, lean corned beef, etc. Go figure! The German potato salad is served cold in case anyone wonders.
Good service and a good time to go- not crowded yet and servers not stressed yet.
