Plaza Inn Dinner?

In all my years of visiting DLR I have never been to Plaza Inn. Shocking, I know! It wasn't until recently that I realized it was more than just a character breakfast location.

I noticed on the website that they only list breakfast hours and don't allow for later reservations, so I'm guessing it's first come, first served. Any idea on how long the lines get for dinner?

From what I gather this is a rather popular place to eat, which is why I'm a bit surprised that there aren't reservations. If lunch would be easier, I could do that instead. If it makes any difference, I will be there next Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

By the way, I plan on trying the fried chicken!

Plaza Inn is not table service for lunch or dinner, so that's why there are no reservations. It's a counter service place like French Market or Pizza Port. The lines are variable like those places. On occasion we have considered going at peak dinnertime only to find the line extending out all the way beyond the gated entry. Other times we have walked up into a line that barely pokes out the front doors, and sometimes we have even walked right up to be served. Usually we just avoid peak times and hope for the best.

I have never waited more than 5 minutes, even on Thanksgiving Day!

Its worth every second, if you must wait. Go at off times, for immediate service.

Ooh, that makes much more sense now. For some reason I pictured it as table service. Alright then, it sounds like I should be able to fit this into my trip whenever I see that the line is short. I'm looking forward to it.

The lines do go fast, pasta line is usually the shortest vs the fried chicken and pot roast lines. The food is consistently pretty good. Love the chopped salad when it is hot outside

The fried chicken meal is IMO the best value there also. My son loves pasta, but to me the portion is small for the price. We usually get two chicken meals and it is enough for the 3 of us.

I agree with the two quoted posts above. The fried chicken is the best. Also, sometimes you can ask the people who are putting the chicken on the plate to give you a certain type of chicken part like two chicken legs substituted for a thigh or a breast. The pasta is good too! You can have the pasta sauce be a red sauce or a cream sauce like an Alfredo.

I've never waited at all but then again, we go to dinner early (4:30) and are at the park during lower attendance times.
It's really not to be missed though. And while your enjoying great chicken, look around at the details of the restaurant and remember that this was designed and decorated by Lillian Disney herself.

They don't take reservations but when we went in December, it was raining and they seated us. After we had a table, we got up to get our food

Plaza Inn has great food with large portions. Get the fired chicken and strawberry shortcake for desert. You will love it.
