I've been to the character breakfast at the Plaza Inn several times, but not in the last two years. I've never made a reservation, but my family has always gone immediately after rope drop and have never had to wait on a line or chase down a character. On top of that the food has been great. Has anyone been there recently? I noticed that they are recommending a reservation now. I'm wondering if it has changed in the last couple of years.
27 days to go!!!!

Leave it . . . to CHANCE?! :earseek: Wow. What a concept! (Alysmom, I'm not slamming you, but rather laughing at myself and my inability to even IMAGINE doing that! I'm just not capable! :rotfl: )

I haven't been, so I'm certainly no authority, but keep in mind that the parks are going to be unusually busy due to the 50th anniversary. You might be going during "slow" season, but that is relative to the rest of the year. I think attendance is going to be up all 18 months of the celebration, but the curves will still hold true. Right before Thanksgiving is probably pretty slow (what do I know? :confused3 I'm guessing!), but it will still be busier than it was last year.

That said, consider making the ADR (Advanced Dining Reservation, formerly known as Priority Seating).

If you decide against the ADR, let me know how it turns out. I'd like to know how the other side lives! :rotfl2: (Again, me laughing at myself!)

Good luck and have a Magical Vacation!!

A lot has changed in the past 2 years. I believe its only been a couple of years that you could even make a PS (or ADR) at any of the restaurants inside DL. The character meals have continued to grow in popularity. I'd recommend you make a PS/ADR. But if you don't, rope drop should be the best time to go; most everyone else is running off the Space Mountain.

Just so you know, there have been many changes with the Plaza Inn breakfast.

They changed it from Pooh and Friends to a Princess breakfast. Some had good experiences, but the majority, my family included, had a horrible time. Long waits for food, not replenishing the food, characters bypassing your table, or no characters coming by at all. A few months ago, the Princesses were moved over to Ariel's Grotto in DCA and Minnie and Friends (I think) took over the Plaza Inn. I haven't heard if that has worked any better or not. I think the popularity of the Princesses was just too much for the Plaza Inn to handle.
