Plaza Inn Character Breakfast times for October?

The reservation calendar for October still has not opened for the Plaza Inn.

I’ve been waiting with everyone else for the reservation window to open for booking.
The magic 60 day mark for October 1st was August 2nd.

I called Disney Dining and asked why? The answer I was given is comical.

The CM on the phone indicated it had to do with the Halloween Parties.
Uhhh.. Okay... How I asked?

The CM said…
Disney hasn’t determined when the park will open in October and CB reservations can’t be made with out knowing the park hours.
Disney doesn’t know when the opening times will be, because they don’t know how long it will take to clean the park after the MHP’s.

At first I thought they were joking but the CM was serious.

I explain to the CM it was possible to book a reservation for an 8am breakfast at the Carnation Café the first several days in October.
I also pointed out there are 4 MHP’s in September and dining reservations for Plaza Inn CB’s can be made for each morning following a party.

The CM went on to tell me “No MHP’s don’t begin until October”.

At that point I gave up and said good bye.

Does anyone know what's going on with the October schedule for the Plaza Inn?
Are they going down for refurbishment?

Hoping for a real answer....

I'm wondering about this too... I made a back-up reservation for the end of September, but we really want to have breakfast with Minnie on October 1.

I spoke to a CM earlier tonight and she said it was because Disney has not released the hours for October yet.

The CM isn't lying, though maybe a little confused. Until they have the park hours they won't post the reservations for the date. DL doesn't have their dining together as well as WDW. They say 60 days, but it's common for things to not be available to book until 30 days out. The Plaza Inn breakfast generally opens 10 minutes after the park opens, including MM days. You can book an early breakfast during MM without having/using a MM.

It's the same over at DCA -- I figure it is because they haven't figure out the WOC schedule. You can't make any dinner ADR's for CC, WCT or AG in October, but you can make lunch.

I called earlier this week for the same thing and I was told that they don't have park opening hours for October yet (which is true- they haven't been published), but when I pointed out that I could make a breakfast reservation for Carnation Cafe the first week in October, she didn't know why.

I vaguely recall something similar happening last year for the same time frame so I am just going to have to keep checking daily, I guess!
